Financing - given the wait how about 72 months financing with the first 36 months at 0% and the second 36 months calculated based on the balance due at the end of the initial 36 months but for 1.9%. This would allow us to overpay during the initial period and then actually reduce our payment. Come on Ford get creative and you can attract customers for life.

current offer is `1.9% for 60 months. My dealer told me a fun fact - you can get whatever promotion ford is offering either at time of ordering or at time of delivery - whichever you like best.
Although, current offers are also dependent on your zip code

How about paying cash? Not meaning to be flippant but you will pay less for the vehicle and you have time to put a lot away to pay for it.

I would but i just gave Ford 42K (cash) for a new 2021 Escape Titanium Hybrid and I have 24 months left on my 2020 Corvette. Just so much cash without taking money out of my brokerage account.

I’ve never bought a new car probably buying the Maverick. I’m guessing it’s cheaper cause you aren’t paying interest? Also, if I order one when do you set up financing or pay cash? I’ll be able to pay cash in about 4-maybe 5 months. Should I order one now? Or wait?

If you want a hybrid this model year, I’d get it. Whether you finance it or not, I’d put up cash to reduce the interests you pay over the life of the loan.

That’s highly questionable, unless the dealer was just speaking for themselves. None of our pre orders included financing details, so the only offers for financing you’ll get are what is available when your real truck is really at the dealership.

Welcome to the forum.

If you're going to order you better start deciding. They are about to close the books on the 2022 model year.

As far as I know, they are only getting close to closing the books on hybrids. If you are ordering an EcoBoost time is not so critical.

Still, it would be a good idea to follow up. What you submitted on the web isn't really an order. It's more like a description of what you want to order, which then gets sent to a dealer. Until you actually finalize your order with the dealer you aren't really in line. There are several threads on this forum about what you have to do to make that happen and protect your purchase price.

(From the "ordering" website)
Step 1: Choose model, trim and options to create your order.
Step 2: When you’re finished building, submit your vehicle to your local dealer.
Step 3: Your dealer will contact you to verify selections and pricing, and answer any questions before placing your order.

What about the 3,500 bonus cash offer I just got in the mail. Can I use that on top of my down payment and trade in?

I plan to put about 15k down as I sold my Volt to Carvana. I also locked in 1.9% for 60 months already the week after I ordered it on 9/8 with a 500 deposit. Saw my dealer today and he said this would probably be the last week he could order a 2022 Maverick. I don't care if it is true or not. I want my Maverick I ordered on 9/8 and have a car to drive until it gets here. He also said that if Ford was offering something better I could have that if I wanted it. I also asked if I was still at MSRP and he said "yes". I don't expect surprises and will get the truck when Ford delivers it to my dealer.

Some people here think they have some kind of control in their dealing with Ford for a Maverick not made for them yet. You do, you can go buy something else. Ford is in control and so many posts seem to think that is not the case. What ever.
