Looking for info. Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover with Elevate Rack System.

Looking to buy the Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover and also install the Elevate Rack System however, with only the 50” rails with the 4 tie-downs.

My local truck accessory who carries the Bakflip MX4 tonneau, but not the Elevate Rack System said the combo would not work. I do believe they are wrong from what I see. Has anyone put on this combination here and if so, is there anything I would need to be aware of during the install?

I have not ordered the items yet.

Putting on a 2024 Lariat FX4 4K that I do have.

per the compatibility matrix published by the manufacture, yes the MX4 is compatible. I have the elevate racks and Bakflip G2, which is the same as mx4 except it’s gloss black instead of matte black.

Works just fine. If you do get the rack cross bars at some point later you just wont be able to put the closest section up against the cab anymore. I took this picture before I put the bed rack on last spring.

Thanks. Yes, there are leaks (spray-in bed liner). Things kept in bed are in waterproof totes and I park inside. I’ll get around to sealing things up better at some point.

No, the tonneau can’t fold up all the way to window with rack in lowest position if the rack is closest to cab. You can however, either loosen rack-slot cap nuts, and slide front rack back from cab then fold up tonneau and re-secure rack or set rack higher, fold up tonneau and lower rack.

Last tip: put the rack upright nuts on the outside for more clearance to fold up tonneau (as seen in my 2nd photo).

It might be interesting to contact RealTruck and ask them if they have any plans to offer the BakFlip cover with integrated T-slot rails like they plan to do for the roll-up Revolver X4s.

I did, no current plans for the Maverick only the Gladiator right now...
