I just reset The average mpg like 5 days ago on trip and fuel economy Before I was getting 21.0 Now with a new reset I get 18.6 city mostly.
I live in Iowa, Truck has Hard cover, racks, toyo 235s..

Does anyone else is getting those numbers?

Or did I reset the trip and average The wrong way? I put it on park and hold to reset.
🤷‍♂️ 🥴
Do yourself a favor and track mpg over the long term. You're gonna drive yourself nuts with this shit. That goes for myself too. Short term mileage is volatile, I've found. We're all down about 10% seasonally for the reasons mentioned.

I'm gonna start tracking it month/month and year/year. I want to know my avg. mpg this Jan vs. last, for example. I think that would help detect any significant changes.

I'm coming up on my third refuel. I've got a 2.0 with AWD and 4K tow. Got 23 mpg for the first two weeks then 20.5 over the next two weeks of Dec., and it looks like next one will be 19 mpg or so. Temps were fine for all of Dec., but we haven't even been up to 10 degrees for 5 days now in Jan. I've got at least an hour of idling in there when I wait for my GF while she's shopping. I think the mileage is great for a 3800# vehicle that gets to 60 in around 6 sec.which I do have experience in achieving.

I've been getting 16mpg average for months. 245/65 wildpeak trails on an FX4 w/ 4K and eco mode driven gingerly. My rear brake pads are already a third of the way worn at 14000 miles according to the dealer so there's a chance they're dragging, but the dealer already told me there was no issue. I doubt they actually tested anything, though.

Sounds like a good plan 👌
Sometimes I even use cruse control If I do that I see my mav maintaining 22s. on hills goes down to 19 and come back to 22.0 but I have to drive like grandma 👵

Ik I can watch my speed and the way how I drive. But sometimes you really need to hit that pedal and mach the speed on highways etc etc.

Thanks for the advice 👍

Man!! you going down too.
Looks like we can see the winter average 21 to 18..

I mean It depends what you have on your maverick. I remember doing 26 in the beginning lol 😆 😂 After installing bigger tires, hard cover and racks I went to 23-22. Last 6 months I was hitting 21 until now.
Looks like cold 🥶 drops your mileage by 2 or 3.

Yes I did the 0 to 60 too.. Feels good 👍
Drive safe my friend and thank you for your comment!!

Short trips in Montana mountains get me 23/25 maybe 26 in warmer weather. I've got 245/65R17s.

21 for an FX4 seems low.

Short trips kill me and that's most of what I do. I was averaging below 20 for a while because of it and my 4k/fx4 is stock with a hard tonneau. On long trips it averages over 25 and my best was a bit over 30 driving very carefully on a long highway trip.

If it went down suddenly maybe your preferred gas station got a bad batch of gas? Otherwise the racks and heavier tires will drag you down.

My FX4 still has the stock wheels / Pirelli Scorpion tires. I’ve been pretty diligent in tracking my mileage since I bought it back in June.

I typically drive 35-40 miles a day for commuting to and from work, running errands, etc. I would say I’m about 50/50 city/highway driving.

Until recently I was getting 24-25 mpg, but now has dipped down to 21-23. Agree with the other posters that cold weather and winter formulated gasoline are the main contributors to reduced fuel economy.

I was seeing around 25mpg in my Tremor (60/40 hwy/city mix) before winter. That has now inversed where it is probably 60 city / 40 hwy split and overall MPG has fallen to 23.8mpg and my average per tank is around 21.7mpg but I let my vehicle warm up and try to avoid short trips in the winter so I expected the hit.

I was getting 28.5 avg on the last 12000 miles. Then I installed new tires for the winter 225 to 245 65 17 on my fx4 4k. It dropped to 23.5 mpg. Winter blend, bigger heavier tires, remote start all played into that.

Completely stock FX4 haven't reset mileage since new, currently 6800 miles. Averaging 24.4 as of yesterday! Outside temperature has been hovering around 0 degrees. No complaints here.

Same here - warmer temps I was mid-20s, but now with colder temps, winter gas, extended warm-ups I've been 19-21 mpg the last few tanks.

Her 2022 XLT AWD averages 23 MPG. It used to be only 22.5 MPG. She has 26k+ miles on it now. Just put new Michelin Tires on the other day. We'll see if he milage goes up (or down).

Wow, lot of these #'s sound actually awful. 23 EB AWD. 3K . I have never gone below 27.1, mpg, stocks. Town and country driving. . Usually 89 octane, occasional 91 no ethanol.
Put on Michelin Snow and Ice tires on November, , even in cold (-25 and more)
NW Montana ice and snow, lately, running 91 mostly,28.1- 28.3 mpg.
