I live in Maine. The cold weather in winter and usage of the heater seriously deteriorates MPG on my Maverick. That’s just the way it is.

I'm on my 2nd full tank just filled it last night I'm getting 31.6 on the gage RN it's slowly creeping up the biggest things to put it in eco-mode I've noticed and to floor it to speed then let off tap breaks and ride electric as long as you can trying to keep the power meter under 10% i have the XLT hybrid
Some people just get in and drive. They leave it in normal. And that's perfectly fine.

If you are into button pressing, try using slippery mode every day. It is the gentlest of all modes. Experts agree, slippery is easiest to boost MPG but you have to get used to the feel of it.

The #1 benefit is: you can coast for longer distances because "drag" while coasting is cut to a minimum. Automatic regen is reduced, but you'll have exactly the same amount of regen when using the brake pedal.

It also makes the brake and gas pedal less sensitive. Have you ever "accidentally" triggered the gas to come on when you really didn't need it? Slippery mode reduces those "accidents".

HTH,
Enjoy!

I used to be able to coast better with my 22 XLT, can’t mimic that in my 24 lariat hybrid

Not horrible mpg for deep winter. My trucks mpg improved 3 gas fillups and around 2000miles, leveled off at 42 and on mild days and light traffic 48-51 mpg.

8200 miles now, Holding a 37 mpg life average. But mine has been a lot of Interstate traveling, Just did 1800 miles hammering 75 mph plus and she was holding 36 Mpg. Stopped at Myrtle Beach and it jumped back up to 40 plus but it was a lot of 35 mph driving along beach and warmer!

Sorry if this has been asked already.
I picked up my truck yesterday. I have 76 miles on it. The adv. MPG shows only 29MPG and only 340 miles left on a full tank of gas.
Does it take a lot more mile driven to show true MPG? Is there a "learning period"?
Thanks for your insight
It will get better as you continue to drive, but the MPG will depend on factors like your daily city or highway miles and driving style.
I drive about 20 miles a day to work and it’s about 12 highway and 8 city. I’m averaging about 42.5MPG.
