I know there was talk of it being removed, along with the keypad, but my tracker still shows the Lariat Luxury Package as including the following:

Does anyone have a 2024 Lariat that can determine if it is still there or not? Someone in a FB group posted the picture of their windshield showing that it was heated, but I think they had a 2023. Looks like it will be clear on the windshield label.

Thanks for the info on the ID of the windshield. Just checked my 22 has it on a xlt lux. I wonder if it's only available now on the lariat. I also heard it was going away.

Well, crap. Looks like just an uncorrected piece of data on the package sheet in the tracker. I'll live, as it is on my 2023. My wife is gonna be displeased.

That sucks. I really like this feature. This morning the windshield was a half inch of ice from the squalls last night. Remote started It 3 mins later the lower 6 inches was good enough that the wipers cleared it.

I have it but have never seen it work.

I read somewhere it only works at 18°F and below. Not sure why.

Has anyone seen it defrost at like 31°F? My heated mirrors thaw really fast. I thought the two were “connected”.

yes I've seen it work at aprox 31deg on a frosted windshield.
it's my understanding it is enabled by turning on mirror heaters and/or defroster, there is no separate switch.

On my 22 lariat there is a separate switch. Comes on by itself below a certain temp.

Here is the '22 Lariat switch panel, there is no separate switch JUST for the WW de-icer. It's the shared switch with the exterior mirrors.

Or, show us how yours is different.

It kicks in automatically along with the heated mirrors. Mine did not work straight from the factory $1000 in warranty finally fixed it. Too test place the backside of your hand on the toasty mirrors then do the same at the base of the windshield. FYI -

Yes. Did that. Mirrors warm quickly. On frosty days, the frost remained even like 5-6 minutes later. And it was just barely 31°F.
A strong look should have melted it.

Maybe the 18°F part is when it automatically comes on to keep the rubber soft? Anyhow. Never had one before. Can’t say it will change my life having it or not. Just interesting.

Anything below 40 and these kick in by default for me -
