Does a flat-towed hybrid accumulate odometer miles?

Why would it not? You're still putting just as many miles on the running gear, wearing the bearings and tires, etc. The body probably takes higher shock loads and lots more stone chips than it would if you drove it. You're just not running the battery down or running the engine.

No. It does not accumulate miles. I have towed mine 2622 miles and driven it another 2855 as of today. The odometer reads 2855.

MOST vehicles do not register miles. My C-Maxes (2 over the years), my Jeep Wrangler, my Honda CR-V, my Acura MDX, etc.

I would assume it does since it has to be ran periodically while being flat towed and Ford certainly would be interested in whether it was ran or not. I believe the computer controls slippage and etc by counting the times the TPMS passes the sensor = so why not?

The ICE needs to be ran every 6 hours or at the beginning of each tow day.

We who tow more than 6 hours in a day do this while our Mavericks are STILL connected to the motorhome. In other words, in place. No miles then either.

This is not a new-to-the-Maverick concept.

From those who actually own and flat tow their Maverick ( me and BradnChristine for instance) the answer is....
NO!
The Maverick does NOT accumulate mileage while in flat tow. I would have over 10,000 miles on mine if it did. It has about 5K on it now.
None of my previous toads accumulated mileage either.

I flat towed mine thousands of miles it does not accumulate miles on the odometer

Thank you everyone who answered. This helps me decide which XLT Maverick I would set up. I have two, one is mine, Hot Pepper Red, which will be low mileage as I work from home and retiring soon. The second is my son's Atlas Blue which he uses to commute to college several days a week. We got them a the same time, I have 2,500 miles and he has 7,500 already. His matches the paint scheme of the motorhome which has blue stripes.
