That's trim dependant. XL actually has cruise if not a 2022.
That’s fair - yet did the xl have the option for manual rear window and driver door keypad? There may have been some options that became standard but I believe others have been dropped across board.

Which brings the thought that a lot of this should have been standard to begin with. Or at least added on to as additional upgrades in subsequent years. Instead of removing items to presumably lower costs/restraints while increasing MSRP. It was easy to hide behind a chip shortage as reasoning yet I find it hard to justify it now. Even with my loaded lariat I had to look to eBay for a $30 Kia rear view mirror that dimmed at night. Something that has been a standard on a lot of cars for years.

Makes me wonder if a mid cycle refresh will bring these back or just give us more trims like an ST

XL never had the keypad. Stick on keypad was available in 22 and 23. I passed on that. No need. I do have the slider window, cp360, sibl, 120v outlet, and hitch.

Almost a $5400 increase in three years, WOW!
What kind of new math are you using? The '22 base was $19,995 + $1,495 destination charge ($21,490). The current XL base is $23,815 + $1,595 ($25,410). a $3,920 difference.

Exaggerate much? HRG

Ford Maverick Price hike on 2024 Maverick XL - $415 22 Maverick pricing

24 Hybrids are and extra $1500 or so over an EB. You are using 24 EB price.

@dadd75 was right. The 2024 Maverick XL Hybrid model with no other options is now $26,910 or $5,420 more that the 2022 Maverick XL Hybrid with no other options.

Having a Hybrid alone now costs $2,580 more on a 2024 than the 2022.

On the 2022 the Hybrid was $1,080 less than the FWD EcoBoost
On the 2023 the Hybrid was the same price as the FWD EcoBoost
On the 2024 the Hybrid is $1,500 more than the FWD EcoBoost

Go back and look at the original post, the word Hybrid was not mentioned. The conversation is about the base XL, not about the powertrain.

It is you who need to understand that the base 2022 Maverick was the Hybrid.

Apples to apples means comparing like vehicles.

Remove features - charge more.

So glad I got mine when I did. I'd be pissed paying more for less features. As much as I'd like to visit the idea of grabbing a newer Tremor, stuff like this just keeps me planted with what I have.

It doesn't really matter if it's the Hybrid or not... They are removing features and charging more.

Inflation alone can explain $2,000 of that price increase, without Ford making an extra penny. Another $1,000 can be explained by the need to amortize the new UAW contract across the corporation's products (yea, I know the Maverick isn't UAW - doesn't matter here). And the last few thousand can simply be explained by the classic phrase "what the market will bear".

Yes. The more I’m on here the more I sing my praises on my 22. No issues and lowest price we will see.
with rising cost, I have a hunch some of us will say that about the $37k we paid for 23 and 24 models

I did not want a 2022 no matter the price. I never ever buy the A model of anything. I'm happy to pay another $2k or whatever it was for my late build 2023 hybrid that came with all the updated parts and software installed from the factory.

As far as new prices go tbh dealers are still up charging $thousands so Ford can keep raising the price I imagine.

I'd rather the profit go to Ford vs the dealer so Ford can keep increasing the production of the vehicle. Guessing by 2027-2028 the base XL will be $30k. Good for all of us who got in cheap I suppose.

Wow. Bought my 2022 XL with tonneau cover, spray in liner, 360, an included tax, and registration for around $26,500.
Our XLT with 360, tax, and registration was about 28k. These price increases are nuts. That same truck would probably be 5k more now.

It's sad that inflation at this rate is normalized by these white collar pricks. Sharks smell blood. At this rate in 2050, newborns will be given the hospital bills.
