I finally got around to throwing on the wheels and winter tires that I've had sitting around the house since summer.

After noticing (and feeling) the weather start to drop into the mid to low 60's in the early morning hours, I knew it was time I put them on.

After driving around with the new set-up for a while, I haven't noticed any difference (if any) in ride quality and tire sound. The only difference I noticed was a slight dip in MPG. I went from averaging 48.3 mpg to it now fluctuating between 47.5 to 47.6.

Anyways, if anyone cares to know, the wheels are from a local company here in the Los Angeles area called Fifteen52. They are 17 X 8 in size and the tires are Firestone AT2.

Here are a few pics of the new wheels and rubber on the Mavreezy.

Great timing. It RAINED today!!! :D

Those Firestone's are on my list of potential tires - lightweight, but 3pms rated still.
Are those 225/65s ?

Wow, low 60’s. I shall pray for you.

Beyond that, nice looking “winter tires and wheels.” (y)
I appreciate your prayers. But just pray for me during the early morning and late evening hours.

Most of the day it's a comfortable mid 70's.

Thank you

It rained? What part of town do you reside in? It's nice and sunny right now in my neck of the woods.

The tire size on my new tires is 245/65. I agree with what you said, the tires feel just as light as the OEM Michelins I replaced. Go figure...

I'm a couple counties north - light rain today. Wed/Thu sounds like the real stuff.

I figured they were upsized - those tires look a lot meatier than 225s! Great to hear about your mpg on that size!

I really like the wheels... But I've never been a fan of raised white letters on tires.
Thank you, I really appreciate it.

I'm the opposite, I've always been a big fan of OWL/RWL on truck tires.

To change the subject, I love your bulldog. He is a monster! BTW, did you know that the French Bulldog was the #1 listed breed by the AKC last year? It finally broke the decades-long record by the Labs. (I had Basset Hounds, and I can feel your dog's slobber from here!)

Yes, that's the size. It fits the stock suspension great. No issues so far.

yes, I'm curious if the OP drives somewhere to ski, or if not... why in the world they need winter tires for SoCal?
