Mine has dual climate with digital display in the knobs. I have lariat first edition and heated seats and wheel. I'm sorry that I have not followed the forum well due to situation but I figured I'd toss this into the pot.

Excellent post with a simple modification that is a game-changer for many owners. So like a few others in here, I was very disappointed that the Lariat with Dual Zone Climate Control did not come with the digital displays in the dials.
Some have asked if you can use the Escape/Bronco Sport Climate Control, and the answer is an easy "Yes". No programming necessary, just plug-N-play. Pop the panel off, unscrew the 4 screws on the back and switch the peice out. Super easy, and looks 1000x better.
For removal you can check out my video on disassembling the center dash at the 6:00 minute mark.

I did want to swap out the "Heated Rear Window" button for the "Heated Mirrors" button but didn't want to break it. It's just a minor detail that I'm not super worried about, and it still triggers the heated mirrors.

That's very good information. Thank you. I just got lucky with mine I guess. I will definitely update the post with that info.It is critical to note that you need to use a module from the same engine type if you're trying to avoid programming it. Taking the climate module from a gas Escape and dropping it into a hybrid Maverick will make all the right lights, but it won't perform as it should due to the different A/C compressor (electric vs. belt-driven) and cooling system configuration on the hybrid.
Please see my post in this thread regarding this.
Can you edit your post to reflect this?
Yeah it definitely wasn't a trim item. The early Mavericks had them, and stopped mid-2022 due to the chip shortage. Mine was built in July of 2022. As far as I know, I believe they're still shipping without the digital display.Excellent post with a simple modification that is a game-changer for many owners.
Interestingly enough, my 2022 Maverick came with the digital display, so I'm guessing this wasn't necessarily a trim item.
What you have on now is what i have on my 22 FE Lariat. Which is weird. could it be that the controls were changed later because we just bought a 23 bronco sport and your previous is what’s on ours.Another member from Facebook bought his and was able to pop the buttons off, so I took mine apart again and was able to swap them out pretty easily, just needed a small pry tool to get behind the buttons and gently release them. I ended up swapping both the heated mirror button and the recirc button, even though the recirc one really didn't bother me that much.

Ya, I figured it might have been due to a shortage of some kind that led to a production modification. Hopefully, they will get back to the digital.Yeah it definitely wasn't a trim item. After reading these posts I was ready to buy an Escape temp module to put in my 23 XLT hybrid Mav. I decided I didn't want the extra buttons for rear defrost, etc...I don't have heated seats or steering wheel. I ended up finding a temp module with digital temp display from a 22 XL hybrid on Ebay. Hopefully will be plug and play. I haven't used Forscan yet but did buy the dongle in case I want to play with it in the future.Well if we need to get one from the same engine type, that limits the number of units (at least used) for us Hybrid owners. Ford sells a whole lot more EB Escapes than Hybrids.
Anybody know what would need to be changed in Forscan, presumably in the climate control module, to allow the non-Hybrid controller to work properly with a Hybrid? - I thought these were merely the switches/display, and the actual climate control unit was buried in the dash, which from comments may not be the case.
I'm basing this on the comments in the thread indicating the engine of the doner needs to be the same as the truck to have it work correctly.
This is great information, i got a '23 Lariat Hybrid and wondered why this downgraded, but now that you showed everyone this neat trick, Ebay wants $150 for them or all the cheap ones are gone.I got mine off of ebay for about $40. Part number for the module I got was LJ6T-18C612-GC. I was lucky and didn't have to do any programming or anything with FORScan, but a few people have had to restart their radio system to get it to work.
Its really so easy it feels like explaining the entire process is skipping steps lolUPDATE: Ordered part came in correct. EASY swap. took me longer to walk to my truck than it took to swap it out.
To pull the vent panel, the top corner closest to the steering wheel is easiest to get under.. and hides any scratches you may leave.. get the first one popped and work your way around CAREFULLY as to not break those plastic tabs. there are 5 in total. 4 corners and middle bottom.
4, 6mm screws hold in the unit to the vent panel.. swap and reassemble.. when putting the vent back on, secure the top first and then push in firm.
works like a charm!!
Yeah when I was looking over the past year they were all about $200, and then they all dropped and I was able to grab mine for $40. Seems like they went back up after everyone started buying them for their swaps lmaoThis is great information, i got a '23 Lariat Hybrid and wondered why this downgraded, but now that you showed everyone this neat trick, Ebay wants $150 for them or all the cheap ones are gone.
You'll need to go into FORScan, copy all the as-built data from the original module, and then import all the as-built info onto the new module. The unit I got was LJ6T-18C612-GD and while it lit up and displayed the temperature properly as well as changing the temperature on the main display, it did not actually turn on climate control, heated seats lights wouldn't light up etc.. Any idea on what I might need to do to get this working?
Edit: reading a bit further, it seems my module came from a gas escape, and I needed one from a hybrid.. so forscan I think?
