Yes, but not since the 12V battery was replaced last winter.

So it’s a summer day. Hot. My bride and I are out doing errands, both mine and hers. AC is running, keeping us comfortable.
She goes in, I wait in the Mav. ICE is not running, but the AC is.
Time passes……..
More time passes………..(been there?)
AC is still running……….on battery.
But the battery is being depleted.
So…………
The ICE comes on. Runs for 2 or 3 minutes. Shuts down.
AC keeps keeping on for another 10 minutes. Till…….
The AC comes on again.
The process repeats as long as the fuel holds out.

The ICE is charging the battery.
You're being ridiculous.
Stop it.
And technically your truck is solar powered. Without sunlight there'd be no life. With no life there's no oil.
Or people named Larry living up to their screen name.
Or Mavericks for that matter.

Well so far I’ve had zero messages or deep sleeps and have yet to take a road trip with my Maverick. Don’t think I’ve driven over maybe 30 miles in a single day since I got it in July.
Took me about 6 months, with a brand new truck with a brand new battery, before I got my first notification.
I‘ve taken that 1000 mi road trip twice, with the same results. Notifications stop for 3-4 weeks. Start up again, stick around until the next road trip (charging opportunity).
I live between 2 major cities. I could drive west 5-6 miles. Then north or south 20-30 miles. Both highways.
But I choose to drive the shorter hypotenuse, pleasant back roads, maybe 10 minutes longer overall, at a considerable improvement in MPGs.
But it results in more notifications.

Longer trip = more key on time.
That's it.

Once you get a deep sleep or other low battery message try this:

1. Park your truck in a safe place
2. Turn key on
3. Let it sit for 10 hours
4. Report interval to next deep sleep

There looks like a correlation to short trips and low 12v batteries.

But the engine per se, I don't think is to blame. Thus overall MPG is not a factor.

I think parasitic draw like the modem and tire pressure sensors are.

Just got back from taking my 2023 XLT Hybrid w/Lux to the nearby dealership to get the Recalls 23E07 and 23E09 taken care of, and I asked them to look into my "deep sleep" issue.

When they completed the service, the technician said that the 23E07 recall reprogramming "should take care of the deep sleep issue."

I'm cautiously optimistic, but not holding my breath.

For the lunatic fringe....

Start for lunch break after sitting 4 hours 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 amps pump into the 12 V battery in 3 minutes. A 3 minute taper. Sits at 2 amps for 6 minutes, then 1 amp for 25 minutes. 12 V SOC changes by one.

No headlamps or fan.

Key OFF. FAN quits. Headlamps still on:

Everything off except this scan tool.
Key removed. All Lamps off. Doors locked.

^^^ While I'm sitting in my parked locked car, not pressing any buttons and scanner off.... there is clicking and clacking of relays going on and off every few minutes. This is drawing down power but for what purpose?

19 minutes later I turn the scanner back on. And we're here:

Before anyone starts to blame the scanner for parasitic draw, don't.

I have a magnetic mount and quick disconnect. At $250 I never leave it in an unattended vehicle.

I'm posting in near real-time here.

NOTHING is turned on besides the scanner. It takes trivial power over Cat5 ethernet cable. 4 amps would burn it up. Yet here I am sitting in a parked locked car. Losing 12v battery charge.

It loses a lot in the first hour.
But obviously doesn't keep up that rate if it's 11.8 the next day.
