You don't have to pay for Forscan on Windows P.C.
I've gotten the Free 2 month extended license trail twice now.

I also don't think you have to sign up to the forum to get the extended license either, which doesn't appear to be possible anyway.

1.Just download Forscan from the website, or links provided here of beta versions.
Download FORScan

2.Then install and go to the about page and copy your Hardware ID.

3.Go here Support Request (forscan.org)
and enter the info to get the 2 month extended license trial.

i will agree that the current version - 2.3.48 should work correctly.

at the time i was a headbanger I was 2.3.47 was available for DL and it did not work correctly

I kept getting this massage:

"Service procedure has been interrupted"
I agree that the current downloadable version 2.3.48 should work fine.

So it looks like Forscan is not approving new members right now. When going to the Forums site to register the option to sign up is not there.
I just had my OBD tool delivered and really want to get to work doing some things on the XLT (unlock the FX4 drive modes for sure).
Would anyone be willing to share their account with me so I can get going with this? I'd really appreciate it!

Strange because I am on the Forscan.org site and they still have the extended license available. However, the free trial works fine you just can't access the Forscan forums to search for spreadsheets.

Wait till you get to the Invitation code!! Where TF do you get that? I tried my Order ID, my License code & my Invoice # (same as Order ID) - Nothing. You really only need an account to get those damn spreadsheets!!! Can't figure out how to stop that annoying seat belt chime!!! Already have it disabled but still chiming away. Need the spreadsheet codes!!!

The FORscan forum invitation code was included in the email I recevied back from [email protected]. It was the same email that included my Activation Code for the software. It was further down in the email. On mine, it was a ten-letter code (all caps).

I found it!!! Thank You so much. Didn't see it way down at the bottom of that first email. Plus I was looking at my receipt email of my license subscription. You're very helpful & kind to take time out of your day to help. Even though I have used Forscan before (this my second Maverick, first one same as this but non-lux) & am pretty good & familiar with the software, I am having a few issues getting this vehicle back to where I was with the other. Got the Eco & Sport drive modes engaged. Eliminated the Double Honk when exiting vehicle with key fob & only flashes light when emergency button depressed, which I didn't know about on my last one. I swear if I bend over one more time with that thing in my pocket & set it off for my neighbors to hear, then to hear me swear right after!!! I'm not sure if it was irritating for them or funny!! Anyway, I cannot get Seatbelt chime turned off this time & can't find tire size diameter (I have 245/65r17s). Don't get me wrong, I wear the seatbelt in traffic & dangerous situations, but I am a Field Tech for Verizon Wireless working on Cell Tower roads & sometimes there are compound & road gates 20 feet apart or longer. It's a real PITA to keep unplugging & plugging it in. Plus if you roll out through a parking lot or field it's nice to be able to fasten to when you get more settled in. I also unsuccessfully tried to get rid of the open door chimes as well. For the Chimes I have disabled it in modules & tried As-Built codes but nothing seems to work. I even tried to do the seat belt click & un-click trick but when you first turn on the vehicle & wait for your seatbelt light to extinguish to start the procedure, mine never goes out. Parking brake is on & all doors are shut so I don't know what is up. I've tried the As-Built codes 720-01-01 changing the third number in second quad to 0=both & 2=driver side but nothing works. So now I'm down to trying to find Maverick Spreadsheets but I see no-one has come up with any after getting into the forum & searching. I guess the Bronco one would be closest if there is one. Crappiest thing is I don't remember what was successful on my last Maverick. It was a year ago. There's definitely some differences in the Lariat & Lariat Lux Forscan modules. I think that is why I haven't found the tire diameter line yet. Anybody got any suggestion would be a great help!!

I was trying to get set up the other night as well. When trying to register for the forum I was asked for a code, saying new users must have an invite code. How can I get this? Thanks.

Edit. After reading the two above posts I think I can figure it out. If not I'll be back!
