Just as the title says, I have found the best trim restorer money can buy. One day, I'm scrolling through my Facebook page and what comes across is an ad for a trim restorer that does a phenomenal job at restoring really faded plastic trim. I read the comments and they were all very positive which enticed me to check the link and give it a shot. Sure enough, it arrived in the mail yesterday and I decided to experiment with it this afternoon. And boy was I impressed with the result. Although my trim wasn't in very rough shape, it was starting to show some spots of wear from being exposed in the elements for almost two years. Now, it all looks better than new.

The best part (other than the look) is that it feels smooth to the touch. It's as if there's no product on it at all. It also gives it a natural shine without being too glossy. It's supposedly wash resistant and guaranteed for up to half a year on exterior trim and one year with interior trim. It's not a gel or an oil-based product. It's liquid based which acts as a ceramic coating for your trim. It comes in a small bottle with a foam applicator pad. It's best to work in sections at a time. Just dab your pad, wipe it in, and then dry it with a microfiber cloth. Here's the product....

No run? Have to report back after it's gotten wet. I've used some stuff that gets runny if any residue is left on. Really I try to keep it simple and just use 303 for most parts on the truck, but it's water based and doesn't last long. I will throw this one in the options for my detailing next summer once the sun comes back out lol. How much is that tiny bottle though?

I used Cerakote on my plastic trim the first week I had my truck. Decided not to wait for it to start to fade. Checked with a local detail shop first before applying it to brand new plastic and the verdict was we do it all the time when people bring in their vehicles for a complete ceramic coating.

Yours looks good. Very similar to mine.

Give it time to cure a day or two in the garage before washing or driving in the rain. I gave mine a week but that's me. I'm pathetic.

Even did the tailgate handle too. No runs, no drips, no errors. :ROFLMAO: (y)

It wasn't cheap. It came out to $27 total. It's funny you mention 303 Aerospace because that's what I was using before and I'm getting sick of the runs every time when it rains or if we get a damp morning dew. Hopefully this one will do the trick, especially for the price.

The thing is I don't have the luxury of parking it in a garage. Unfortunately it sits outside its whole life and under on oak tree no less 🙄

I was inspired by the Hot Wheels Redline Mighty Maverick for the name. I was surprised I was able to use it and figured would've been taken 😁

You should have great luck with that product. It looks real good on your truck.

The Oak tree? Ouch. I hate Oak, Walnut and Butternut trees anywhere near my vehicles. :ROFLMAO:

It's a beautiful tree but it takes a toll on the cars, roof, and driveway most of the year. It's beyond aggravating. The leaf blower is my best friend. But this is the time of year the humidity goes down, the rain chances decrease, and it won't shed as much, at least until January when the green pollen and sap kick in 😠

Really looks good! (y) Did you use up that entire little 1.35 oz. bottle doing your truck? Holding up to 90 washes is a strong claim, and would be amazing if true.

I just checked Amazon. It’s about $28.

What is a good product to protect the tonneau cover? Should it be marine grade like boat protection products?

No, far from it. It's applied in little dabs so it'll last a while. Only time will tell if it holds up. I'm hoping it does being in South Florida in all with our terrible UV rays.

I've been using 303 Aerospace for that one. Although it runs off the plastic, it does do a good job on tonneau covers. I watch a detailer out of Canada (The Detail Geek) whose favorite job is applying product to a tonneau cover.
