Love mine. Have had it a few months. Love the thought that went into some things like the back speakers not in the doors but near the upper sides. I did order with luxury package so i got the bells and whistles with a simple look. The only thing i miss which may have been an oversight is the auto up/close for the driver window. It does the auto down. I'm on NY so I'll see how it makes it through the winter.
This was probably an auto industry wide safety decision. Had an old 911 that had auto up driver window and with long hair got my hair caught in the closing window...that can be dangerous while driving and don't realize why you can't move your head.

Nah. 4-door auto up/down is considered a "premium" feature relegated to upper trims. It is present on Maverick Lariat, while XL and XLT only get auto down on the driver door.

Had an Eco Boost and Hybrid for a year. If the Eco Boost was 4x4 instead of AWD I might have kept it, but my driving needs (frequent forest dirt & gravel roads) had me driving the FWD Hybrid most of the time since it easily handled the typical forest roads. Sold the EcoBoost and kept the Hybrid simply due to roughly $100 a month in gas savings....

When selling by EcoBoost back to my Ford Dealer they mentioned more people trading in EcoBoosts are trading for Mav Hybrids due to gas savings...that they would be selling FAR more Hybrids if they could get them.

Had my Ecoboost since May 22. Never been back for anything and the only recall notice I’ve had is for the airbag issue (witch I will avoid as long as possible). No holes mandatory knarled in my skid plate either 😉

In August, 2021 Ford opened the order banks for the Ford Lightening and I wanted one. After ordering one, I've researched the EV and charging availability in my town. That didn't look good, nor do I have garage where it could had been charged.

I cancelled the EV in January, 2022 and ordered a Maverick hybrid. Again, after researching and noticing issues with the hybrid, I've cancelled the order in September, 2022 and ordered an EB 2.0 Maverick.

Yes, I've should've done my research prior to ordering vehicles, agreed... ;)

The OP is not wrong about the hybrid, I'll probably sell the Maverick next year and get a hybrid pickup truck. It's just not going to be from Ford...
Yup, hybrids ARE great as long as they don’t have bazillions of recalls and warranty problems. From what I see, the Mav hybrids are not great in this regard.

Desperate times it sounds like. Why drive at all?

My brother in Christ, recalls don't mean anything really. Not to mention basically all of the hybrid repairs under warranty are early build hybrids that had those janky wiring harness's, and issue that doesn't impact later build date first and second year mavericks.

We're seeing the hybrid issues start to fizzle out, and more ecoboost issues as of late. Not only are we seeing more Ecoboost issues, but they're more severe than anything the hybrids have experienced. Multiple people with transmission issues, and reports of gas leaking into the engine oil. It's pretty obvious that the hybrid is the more reliable powertrain, especially now that those odd wiring harness issues appear to be resolved.

Interesting. I never had any issues with my ‘22 Lariat during 18 months and 28k miles of owning her and no issues with my ‘23 with 5600 miles since picking her up in July. I owned a 2013 Ford CMax hybrid and never had an issue with just under 100k miles. I am happy with Ford hybrids 👍🏻
Probably just a lemon on my end. I sure wish they could have gotten it resolved.
Very happy to hear goods reports, especially those with few or zero issues!

“Gas leaking into oil”. This is known as oil dilution and is common on all GDI engines. Drive the vehicle until the oil gets hot and most of the gasoline dilution will boil off, just like condensation in the oil. Transmission issues, please enlighten me.
I would love to see a comparison of owner satisfaction/complaints on this forum, Hybrid vs Ecoboost. I have a pretty good idea which way the percentages would go. Maybe it has something to do with some of the ex Prius (we had one) drivers having unreasonable expectations because their new Ford truck is not quite up to their standards 🧐

Plug in hybrids are a BAD option for 99% of people. And environmentalists are universally against plug-in hybrids.

Why? Because you are not required to plug in, most people don't. It ties up NON-UTILIZED battery resources and the gasoline efficiency is only mediocre.

I had a Chevy Bolt EV for 6 years.
I never charged at home ever.
Did 60,000 EV miles all from public charging. Most times free or at 3 cents a mile. In California there are more EV chargers than gas stations (locations, not "pumps" since most gas stations have 8 to 16 pumps).

It's NOT inconvenient or time consuming to charge in public. You have to eat. You have to shop. You have to pee while traveling.
:rolleyes::rolleyes::oops::oops:🤪🤪

22,000 miles and I've had zero issues. 43.2 mpg makes it a keeeeper.
