It seems like a few inches higher and your horizontal space expands greatly above the dash

Seat lays flat enough and if the pendelton was heavy. Sure beats my 2013 Silverado seats for sleeping. I have the Napier for Silverado but I like to fish and

I'm thinking 6ft tall is about the max. But if your are 5'8" like me..... You can make a platform bed for the Maverick.
One of my gripes with the Mav is the short bed that you can't sleep in. I'm considering one of those "pass through" back window so you can stretch out. I had a SuperCab Ranger in the 'nineties that had a 6' bed that was great. I wish my Mav had the bigger cab and longer bed. Still thinking to come up with a scheme.
I guess that diagonal idea would work in a pinch.

Just got my '23 hybrid xlt and it's shaping up to be the perfect kayak fishing rig. Spent this afternoon playing with various bed configurations. Between the shelf levels, tailgate, and a bed extender, I know I can get two boats strapped comfortably in there. You just added the last missing piece with a climate controlled-ish, mosquito free zone for me to sleep in. My buddy in the other boat however is SOL though. Oh well  Thanks again!

I actually tried some mock ups with that scheme. Headroom becomes the bigger issue when you go up there.

Sounds like the other guy needs to bring a tent. Haha

We need a fiberglass/aluminum camper type insert that with the tailgate down extends slightly passed it, with the tailgate down it is just under 79 inches

Wonderful design!
I have slept in mine by dropping the seat back horizontal.
Semi-comfortable but doable for fishing trips

Longer cab and bed? Lord no, then it'd be just like every other truck. If I need to spend the night somewhere I'll get a hotel. Getting too old to be sleeping in trucks.

However, if I really wanted to sleep in the bed I'd use my marine grade beanbag. I use it for overnights on the boat or napping during fishing trips and that thing is comfortable AF.

Score one for the short people. I am only 5 foot 4, so this would work even better for me. Now how will I fit the wife and 2 kids? Ha!
