Still thinking passenger seat delete would be an option. Like the A/C and heat available plus a hard top, radio, etc.
If you take out the seat, what electronics will you have to deal with? I know mine goes crazy if you leave off the seatbelt.

It's called the fetal position. Curl up with a few small pillows. :pThe back seat is fine unless you are NBA center or NFL linebacker sized.

Saw a video on taking out the seat. Only one connector. Usually amatching resistor is used to fool the computer. Can also buy a short seatbelt extension to fool the seatbeat warning.

At 10:13 in the video gave me another idea instead of seat delete built bed platform to fit over the reclined passenger seat. Not much head room but can be left in place while traveling. Wouldn't use dash as a support but seat tops maybe. Think a cooler would fit as the backseat support?

Get some cardboard and make a prototype.

Works lengthwise! Just human planked it, after taking off head rest. Ankles on dashboard, seat back top at my upper back, head on back seat back.

They sell a inflatable mattress for the back of pick up trucks. All sizes I’ve seen them it goes down into the feet area so you get like this big bed and like thing when it’s done when it’s done inflating I don’t know it’s worth looking into.

Truckbed to short to make into bed without tailgate down. Those are cool if you have a normal sized truck.

We need a fiberglass/aluminum camper type insert that with the tailgate down extends slightly passed it, with the tailgate down it is just under 79 inches
in my Sport Trac I sleep in the bed with the tailgate down, it's very comfortable except at 6'2" my feet are out in the cold/rain.
For that I have a Slumberjack Roadhouse Tarp, sets up in about 10min.
The Maverick bed is an inch longer with the tailgate down than the Sport Trac so I'm planning to keep doing this.. would have to contort myself to fit in the cab.. but points for ingenuity to Irvinec32 ;-)

Found a new sleeping postion called the NASA seat. Raise back seat bottom. Take off passenger head rest. Move passenger seat back and fully recline. Now crawl into passenger seat feet in the air and head at glove box. Funny but every body part is supported. Not great for people with acid reflux.
