Love this solution as I will be making another solo trip this summer up the Alaska Highway. When I did this ten years ago I learned there are days where it is raining way too hard to even consider setting up a tent, forcing you to sleep in your vehicle. Great foldable solution! Add side window deflectors to keep rain out and a magnetic screens to a window on each side to keep mosquitoes out so you can crack the windows - perfection.

Some replies seem to answer a question I have; is it feasible and safe to sleep in the cab with the car "on". I have a friend who said he could do that in his Prius, he could use the ac and the ICE would start when needed to recharge the HVB. I'm actually as concerned with being able to use my CPAP, but might need to put in a larger inverter. Very intriguing, makes me wonder how hard it would be to remove the passenger seat, or even swap it for one that folds flat. And folding the back seat down might work with some variant of this too. I too have watched several of your videos, greatly appreciated.

Passenger seat is easy to remove, just 4 bolts and one wire connector. Then you just ignore the seat belt warning. I removed the read seat too. Slept great going cross country this passed spring but I'm only 5'7".

I made two trips from Pensacola, FL to Buffalo, NY in my Mav. On my first trip on the way up, I stayed in a Holiday Inn on Ft. Knox, which was around $150. While there, I toured the base that I took basic and advanced training at in 1981 and was also stationed there from 1986-1989. I was amazed at all the changes made to the base! I'm a 100% disabled Army Veteran, so I have access to any military base and services on them.
On the way back to Pensacola, I again stayed at the same Holiday Inn.
On my second trip on the way there, I took short cat naps in the back seat. On the way back, I decided to buy a twin-size memory foam mattress topper and cut it to size, doubling the height. I used a sheet to wrap around it. and had two pillows to rest my head on. It was pretty comfortable sleeping back there.
Nothing fancy, no YouTube video. Just a plain and simple solution that cost less than $30 to make.

Both of those are very helpful. Maybe with the back seat folded down and the passenger seat removed you could make a nice sized platform.
I'm still wondering about sleeping with the car on, so you have ac and power. I checked my CPAP and it has a beefy 90w power supply, but that's well within the specs for the built in inverter (400w.)
I also thought about sleeping in a tent/structure in the bed, but with the car on, providing ac and power through the back window. You would probably want to put a couple of fans to exchange air between the two spaces.
