Not surprising to see quite a number of senior owners. Our needs are different than when we were in our 30s, 40s, and 50s. I’m 69 and don’t haul, tow, or commute the way I used to. Smaller truck for light hauling or towing just fits our needs, not to mention fuel savings!

So true, Today was my lucky day, Fri the 13th never was bad for me, I was called about noon by my salesman and he said they got my truck in last night and if I wanted it today to come on down. I was able to drive it away at 4:30 p.m. Only waited just short of 13 months for it as well.

But I was getting anxious about it.

70 here. I bought my 22 XLT EB Lux AWD the same day I started looking for one (10/21/21). It was on the dealer lot, having just been refused because the wife of the guy who ordered it decided she didn't like Velocity Blue. Paid MSRP with no gimmicks or add-ons while other folks were calling the dealership about it.

The Maverick replaced a paid-off 2014 Wrangler Rubicon and a 1969 Corvette so there was no financing needed. It recently turned over 10K miles.

For fun, there's the 1993 Lightning and the 1968 Cougar XR-7 GT. We gave up the motorcycles when we started our family, planning to go back when the kids were old enough to not need us but then cell phones and distracted drivers put that plan to bed.

Love the '68 Cougar! Bought a '67 GT when I first joined the Army in 1976. Wish I never got rid of it. Bought 2 after that, but they couldn't replace it ...

After reading some of the posts on this thread, I am feeling young at 69. Traded in my '22 iconic silver XL AWD 4K for my '23 atlas blue XLT FX4 on August 28th. Currently has 1310 miles.

i just celebrated my 73rd successful trip around the sun 2 weeks ago and Friday the 13th is now my lucky day! Not because I got my ‘23 Lariat Hybrid but my 4 year modular cabin project was delivered and set on its’ foundation in the NC foothills 😊 Baby Bluz has her work cut out for the next several months!

77 hear love my Maverick Hybrid, different driving compared to my 2014 Shelby GT 500, and my 1965 Mustang Convertible. Just a different driving experience.
I like what's in your toy box!

What is the age requirement for this thread?
It doesn't matter, some young people think like an old man, and some old men still think they're still teenagers! I'm sure you'll enjoy all the comments on this site. I'm 83 and love driving around in my 1956 Thunderbird, trying to pick up chicks. (Don't tell my wife)

Had a red diesel VW back in the day . great mpg but poor performance . metal was easily dented and poor paint . glad it was gone . Mav is perfect for me but wish dealers had better service .

This is the '67 XR-7 GT I had. It was even better to drive than the '68 but I lost my mind and sold it. It now lives in Norway.

Mik I have a XS650, RD350 and several Yamaha enduros my Mav is a great truck
I had an XS650 and later a RD350, both were great! You are a wise man to have held on to them.

Now I ride a Yamaha Zuma 50 and a Honda Metropolitan 50. I seldom ride on the road, but the mopeds are used daily to herd livestock and find shorts in the electric fences.
