Again with such weird questions. I don't mean to pick on you, but why is this even a question? A double tap of the fob creates a horn tone and one does not. Solution is to just push it once, or use either interior or exterior lock pads when exiting the truck and no horn tone.
Have you tried the owners manual or Google? And again, it is beyond simple for the horn not to beep. Mine never beeps, never. And I have not changed a thing.Luke..... believe me, im retired Military, i can take alot ...
Because, if it is different... and does something different to the settings of the truck, don't you think it would be beneficial?
I have 6 dogs.... the horn sets them off....
And also, if you think the question Is weird, and Don't have a clue as to a logical answer... move on to another thread.![]()
FYI = verify with 2nd push that tail gate is shu or one of the doors is not unlocked or possibly open, etc....Again with such weird questions. I am already aware of this. It is the OP who is strugglingFYI =
Locking the Doors
Press the button to lock all doors. The direction indicators will flash.![]()
Press the button again within three seconds to confirm that all the doors are closed. The doors will lock again, the horn will sound and the direction indicators will flash if all the doors and the liftgate are closed.
Note: If any door or the liftgate is open, or if the hood is open on vehicles with an anti-theft alarm or remote start, the horn sounds twice and the direction indicators do not flash.
It's intended to let you honk the horn remotely such as to confirm locking or locate your vehicle in a parking lot instead of having to resort to using the panic alarm. Why? What's the difference?
FYI =Any way to disable the horm beeping when locking the doors from the fob?
If it beeps twice on the first push one of your doors isn't closed all the way.True, i knew that
but if that's the exact same result,
one push no beep,
two pushes beep...
Why? What's the difference?
it’s the same for almost every vehicle I have ever had.Any way to disable the horm beeping when locking the doors from the fob?
