Definitely going to purchase rock and bug deflector for hood. AND splash guards.

Yes they do look like chips from rocks and as others have mentioned those holes go all the way down to the metal. Those look like chips from rocks. Not soft paint
Paint protection is basically 2 coats of wax. I used to work at a car dealership and we’d have the lot boy wash and wax it twice.Pretty sure they're selling paint protection packages to rip off the buyer with an overpriced and largely worthless product.
My cousin had paint peel on his Ranger. Like a 99 or so. He painted Ford quality job none on it lolI guess if this happens to my blue Mav and ford does not make it right I will proudly display ford quality everywhere I go!
The tires aren’t throwing stones on the front of and top of my hood. It’s your significantly wider tires that are throwing up stones and chipping the paint.
That’s what Ford will tell you at least.
The only time I had Toyo’s, I noticed they did tend to throw rocks though, combine that with them sticking out if the fenders just a bit and watch the paint chip away in no time. Unfortunately, a wax or ceramic coat won’t even protect you, need a self healing ppf ASAP on any new Ford these days.
I can get behind a clear bra! Da dum tss!For people upgrading from an old car to a new one, this may be unavoidable as eco friendly paints that they use now simply aren't as durable and that's across all brands. You'll hear complaints about soft paint on pretty much everything made in the last decade.
A clear bra might be a good idea.
Overpriced? At the dealership, probably. Worthless? Not to me. Mine will be getting filmed before I take it home.Pretty sure they're selling paint protection packages to rip off the buyer with an overpriced and largely worthless product.
Two of the posted pictures show the front tires protruding past the side fender. Are they really protruding or is the camera angle making them seem to be protruding? They absolutely can and are. Drive through some water and watch how droplets make their way onto your bumper, hood, fenders. Wherever water droplets end up, rocks can be thrown in the same projectory. That’s the nature of running wider, all terrain tires that protrude past the fenders.
