Compared to the XLT that is…

the little research I have done leads me to believe that the xlt gives you the most bang for your buck?

curious to hear others’ point of view..

Check the most recent build guide
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ck-order-guide-september-2021-u-s-canada.178/

You get the stuff below and then access to the lariat add ons
You lose access to the XLT Lux but most of that is in the Lariat Lux.

What one second. Does the XLT visor's not even have lights when you open the visor mirror?
Hmm looks like it. The only place "illuminated Visors" is present in the sheet is Lariat standard

XLT visors do not have lights. Can confirm.

Outside of the smaller details the biggest is the interior colors and seats. To me, other additions are just niceties.

I ordered the Lariat because I just could not stomach the "orange trim". That just did not sit well with me. I plan on using seat covers eventually but that orange trim just didn't grab me.

How much did a base 4 Runner cost in 2003? What would that be in 2021 dollars?
A replacement visor is like 50 bucks... You can say that but it's such an inexpensive thing to put in/replace that you would think if I'm paying 26k for something it can be put in lol

I think a better comparison would be when ford started putting in lighted visors in their trims and what the prices of those trucks were then to now

I feel this is what Ford knew would happen. I was the opposite of you. I couldn’t get over the bronze trim and brown/blue seats.

But I am settling for cloth seats.

But to keep costs down I’m glad they only allowed 1 interior option per trim.

For me it simply came down to the Active-x seating. All the other additions were not that important for me. But Im sold on the seating.

Best

One thing you are NOT getting in the Lariat trim: heated seats. You still need the Lariat Lux package to get heated seats, which is insane.
