I was just wondering what car washing products you folks use to wash your trucks? What’s good and what to avoid?

This, the one time I washed it. I usually just hit the local car wash.

I have a pressure washer that is, I dunno, a decade old. I rinse with the widest angle head because it's enough, and it probably won't blow off any paint. I don't get into mud often, but if I do find it, this is the stage that I blow it all off.

I use a foam cannon with Chemical Guys Mr Pink soap. I might experiment later, but so far I've noticed that it removes bugs very well, but isn't harsh enough to strip my wax. (more about that in a moment.) I use this cheap foam cannon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HC898GM

After the soap is applied, I scrub bugs and anything else that looks stuck-on with a microfiber towel in one hand and a big sponge in the other. The trim around the Maverick headlights is AWFUL at catching dead bug parts and I usually have to spend at least 5 min on each light.

Rinse again with pressure washer. Dry with microfiber towels. Come back later and dry drips from door handles and trim.

I wax as needed, typically every 3-4 months. I am using Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax and I use an orbital polisher with 6" discs to apply everywhere I can, and elbow grease everywhere else. I use a cheap one of those, also: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DKC4W86

I was just checking out that link about the foam cannon and it looks pretty cool. The bugs are so annoying, especially driving home at night. When I come home, I try to daily use a microfiber cloth with warm water to give the windshield and grill a decent once-over until the day I give the truck a full wash. I use of course the two-bucket system, though it's probably not the best method, I'm sure there's so many other ways. I heard alot good things about Mr. Pink. I was using Mother's car wash but may try something else. Anyway, thanks.

I put a 10H Ceramic/Graphene coating on my Maverick the 1st week I got it (3 months ago). To wash it, all I do is blast it with the hose and blow the water off with a leaf blower. No need for soap or a towel (except windows). Dirt and rain spots just rinse off. Work great every time!

I use a cheap soap from the auto parts store, in a 2300 psi pressure washer, about once per week. There are a lot of leaf blowers around here.
