I love my Maverick. It fits exactly what I was looking for in a truck. However... I purchased the Ford hard roll-up tonneau cover. With this heat the felt liners have come off. I almost have to have gloves on to roll it up. Structurally it is sound... except for those silly felt liners. I need to look into warranty information. I bought this through Ford Accessories program.

I ordered the same thing with mine. I'm curious to hear what you find out in case I run into a similar situation.

Woo very sorry to see that and here about that . I would think it would be under the 3 year warranty 😱🤔. I also would like to know it's a Ford cover and installed by Ford or the dealer it's got to be cover especially at costing $1, 200.00. Good luck and please keep us updated. 👍

I agree with your comments ... I have the exact same problem with the felt lining. Additionally, the cover was installed at the Ford dealership (cover was part of the sticker price add-ons). I am thinking it may be too far forward as there are gaps on both sides of the tailgate ... still trying to figure out if loosening clamps and sliding the cover slightly towards tailgate will resolve the issue. I probably will need to line the tailgate area with additional rubber seal.

Very disappointed with the Ford accessory cover. May sell it and by a Bak flip cover.

I have the BAK Revolver, which what the Ford branded one is, and I used a 1/4" spacer between the front "stops" to push the side rails back. It fixed my alignment and latching issues.

Perhaps you should get it replaced under warranty and then sell it. No sense in selling your defective headache to someone else.

What does the felt do for it? Any reason not to remove it?

Some have received replacements under warranty through their dealer. They have been resdesigned. No more Ford logo when rolled up against the cab and the felt has been replaced with rubber like on the Bak X4S.

Sorry to hear about the cover. I went with a retractable by SyneticUSA and it is a much more permanent cover solution. I got it from Truck2Go.co with a total installed price of $1007.00.

Mine just started doing that same thing during the summer.

I had someone tap my door with their car door. Luckily it only left the tiniest of dings. I ordered some side moulding and used it along the edge of the tailgate. I moved the tonneau cover towards the tailgate. That worked pretty good for me.

I wouldn't touch it unless it's out of warranty, they will say it's your fault, am sure.
