Seeking advice; groceries, pistol, and speakers...

23 Maverick, has to be one of my favorites that I have owned.
However, I have a few items I would some opinions/advice on.

• Groceries- Currently we put on floor/back seat, if we purchase too much, it just piles in. Besides tonneau, Has anyone found a better way? Going to order vertical net
• Pistol- A lot of soft plastic, currently I leave in angled by the floor mat. Really weary of putting it elsewhere and risks scratching plastic. Any mounts/holders?
• Speakers- Even in the Lariat, these are of the basic. Seeking upgrades, prefer direct fit replacement

Console vault for your pistol?

I know in my current vehicle a pistol it stays in my driver side map pocket. It did slide a little so I made a piece out of eva foam to take up the slop.

I'll probably try the same when my Maverick finally arrives but I will be installing the console vault for when I'm not in the vehicle and the pistol can't come along.

For the handgun there are a few companies that make a very minimal mount that you can attach to a lower dash panel. They are magnetic and work amazing. I have not fit one in my Maverick yet, so I am unsure of space available as you would want it on your draw hand. I have also in other trucks velcroed an actual holster to my side console so again it is essentially right beside my knee on my draw side. But that was on full size trucks

Me too. When I Spark I use these bins I got at Walmart. They hold 4 bags in each one.

As far as groceries in my truck, I have a stash of apple boxes from my local orchard. I buy 25 lbs at a time (I like apples) and they can't reuse the boxes. They work out great and I get a lot of comments when I've grocery shopping.

I don't own any guns. Can't help you there.

Under the sleeping bed totes work well under the tonneau and you can reach them to slide in and out over the tailgate. Perhaps you could find 4 in two sizes that might be still be reachable. Pull one out load it up then pay it back in. If these are loaded and are towards the outsides of bed they can hang while pushing in about 3" from going all the way but they will clear if they are touching each other and are centered in the bed.

There is a decent amount of space under the back seat if you aren't wanting to use your bed. Obviously not deep enough for full grocery bags but lots of room for loose items.

Pistol, currently it sits on the floor in holster by mat, not as much concerned with draw hand and much as accessibility. I am hoping for an under dash/seat option. It's just a 38 I keep in car, Justin Case. Just noticed LM42 post as well. I like the idea of foam. In the past I just jammed it into map pocket, and could draw left handed. However, the maverick door opening is wide and would bounce around.

If you are hearing crackles and distortions, maybe there is an issue somewhere else other than the speakers? The speakers in my Lariat sound really good even with the volume turned way up when I'm listening to the radio or XM. If you are listening to the audio books from your phone, maybe try the radio or XM to see if you have the same issue? The problem might be the bluetooth or carplay connection.

Bins as others have suggested and then I recommend a ratcheting cargo bar or two from harbor freight ($23 a piece) checking in at under 5 lbs and taking up minimal space when not deployed

I have a homemade "tray" in the bed with wheels on one end and door stops on the other. It was the width of the entire bed, but I redid it to make it narrow enough for golf clubs to slide in beside it. works great for groceries and whatever else. With the bed mat now, I May remove the wheels and stops, it should slide easily, just don’t want it banging around
