Lots of options for concealment/vehicle carry. It's pretty universal. Careful what you post and how you post. The less people know the better.

Groceries go in the cab where I live due to the heat currently, but I got a bed net and the ratchet bar as well. Lots of options for these trucks, take the time to browse subforums.

Same with speakers. Hit the subforums up for specifics. Lots of options depending on what you are looking for and the amount of effort/money you are willing to put in.

Another good one is the "what did you do today" thread. If you adjust your notifications to turn off all the useless crap like email and every time someone likes a post to only include what you watch on threads you start and quotes for you specifically, then you can save a list of watched threads and visit them whenever for inspiration and/or chat etc etc. You can hit the "watch" button for any threads you want to keep an eye on that you find while browsing. Use the search bar but honestly, Google is a much better specific search tool. Use Google images too. All this helps with specific stuff you want to see.

I did this pretty thorough early on with certain threads and just remove/add as needed when I'm done with them. Helped me to keep a more organized list of ideas for specific mods/services on the forum.

I say this because what one person might find useful is just clutter to another. Take the time to lurk and browse and use Google to get specific from there. Lots of "Ford Maverick (insert idea here)" searches will bring you straight here and if you use images for something like "Ford Maverick storage", it's a lot quicker than random thread browsing.

Some of us also keep what we have done in a build log, mine in my signature. That is pure reference to anything I have done and often times a good way to browse what any user is mentioning. Some people don't care to be that helpful, but I keep my modifications easy to access because I used others to gather inspiration and try to make it easy on others. I have covered my storage needs in great detail in my build log very recently. Specifically here.

I have a OPOVOO compact pistol bag that has my 9mm Shield, pocket holster, two mags and my wallet. You can put your phone in it too and it fits nice in the center console. My 10” scoped 357 Max Contender rides in a soft case on the back seat or front seat depending on if my son is with me.

Groceries
I bought 5 reusable grocery bags. They're perfectly sized to fit between the closed tailgate and a verticle 2x6 in the first bed slot. Leaves enough room for a 12 pack of soda/beer and maybe a large container like a bleach bottle. And nothing rolls or slides around.

Please each reusable bag holds about 3 plastic bags worth of stuff, so they're easier to carry.

Bro, I know how to search. I have lurked around and searched google. I just had 3 things I wanted to address and figured if someone had a suggestion they would chime in. And I live in GA, I do not care that you know I carry. Thanks for the paragraphs explaining how I can do better.

We have been sitting the heavy in the backseat floor and light/dry on seat. I like the idea of crate/divider in bed, but sometimes it's 4 bags and other times 10. Someone suggested tailgate net for $16. I am ordering that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4924FMF/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=AU52PLKJP3L4P&psc=1

Guns in vehicles need to be LOCKED and unaccessible when vehicle is empty. Too many guns are stolen from cars. When that happens the gun owner should have their right to have one taken away because they became an accessory to a future crime.

And no Second Amendment rights BS. Responsibility is a requirement.

I mentioned how I found specific things to help me and redirected them for your usefulness.

I didn't come in here posting a bunch of threads that were already here saying some sarcastic :poop: like "use search it exists for a reason"... I mentioned HOW I SEARCHED for specific things. That's all. I was literally trying to help you improve searching and I also included what I did when looking and my choices for your topics specifically - meaning I even linked you to my post about what I did for all three of your topics in my build log. You apparently chose to ignore my tips and misinterpreted my intentions. Maybe it was my fault, so I apologize, but this is a very random thread. You have 5 posts and this thread. It's a safe assumption that could be helpful to you with a thread like this. If you go to those subforums for stuff like audio, it's a wealth of information on the first page even with stickies to help make things easier. The mounting depth is the only real issue there and it really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Again, we also have no idea the specifics of what you desire or your system. Is it the B&O or the base stuff? Did you get the Lariat Lux? So pardon me for trying to direct you to specific spots with your vague questions.

If you can't tell by the post above me why I mentioned "The less they know the better" then there is no helping you. It's a perfect example of where this thread will go in a heartbeat, or any post like it. This is why we conceal carry. The less they know, the better. I mentioned mounts being universal because they are. I don't care what you drive or where you live, it's the same. The thread title alone is not the most thoughtful when considering carry locations and now you see why. There is always that one idiot that wants to assume they know everything and rant about safety for the greater good and also... politics. Another vague description from you was "on the floor". Man, that is going to raise some eyebrows with questions that should not be asked on this forum. Maybe it's all new to you and that's understandable. We all had to start somewhere. But unsecured on the floor even when driving is not a good idea. A floor mat is not the type of security that will hold a holster in place in the event of an accident. I was really trying to avoid having to say all this, but it sounds like you need to hear it.

Take care. Good luck on your modifications. Use the search tips, locations and links I provided earlier to help.

Groceries, I have a tonneau cover with a 2x6 in the flex bed slot. My wife does most of the shopping so my Maverick doesn’t make that trip often.

Speakers, this is really a personal thing and question of what you hope to achieve. I’ve been looking into this some lately. I’ve read that the Infinity Reference speakers are one of the best bangs for bucks in terms of installation, quality and full sound. For like $90 you can get the two door 6” rounds and necessary connections from Amazon or crutchfield.

Pistol, as a right handed individual I wanted mine on the strong side but not on my body as I have to drive long distance for work monthly. So I nodded and printed this file for a S&W Shield holster. It sits down between the driver seat and hangs on the little cubby in front of the arm rest. It’s convenient enough for quick access but also discreet so I can leave everything in its place while making my way through the Chic Fila drive thru. LOL
I lined the inside with felt and used strips of rubber on the hanging clip side that grabs the car to reduce scratches. It works great.

If you are hearing crackles and distortions, maybe there is an issue somewhere else other than the speakers? The speakers in my Lariat sound really good even with the volume turned way up when I'm listening to the radio or XM. If you are listening to the audio books from your phone, maybe try the radio or XM to see if you have the same issue? The problem might be the bluetooth or carplay connection.
Guys, are we talking about the standard stereo in your Lariat, or are we speaking about the B & O system? Curious bc I have been patiently waiting for my Lariat with the B & O system. Currently I have an XLT/FX4 and though it's not great, the standard stereo works well enough.

There are metal or plastic hooks you can buy that attach to the front seat headrests, that allow you to hang grocery bags from them. A cheap enough option that will keep your bags from flying all over your backseat, and unobtrusive when not in use:

23 Maverick, has to be one of my favorites that I have owned.
However, I have a few items I would some opinions/advice on.

  • Groceries- Currently we put on floor/back seat, if we purchase too much, it just piles in. Besides tonneau, Has anyone found a better way? Going to order vertical net
  • Pistol- A lot of soft plastic, currently I leave in angled by the floor mat. Really weary of putting it elsewhere and risks scratching plastic. Any mounts/holders?
  • Speakers- Even in the Lariat, these are of the basic. Seeking upgrades, prefer direct fit replacement
Sorry to group all of these together, but I figured it was better than 3 post. I tried to search each topic, but keep getting unrelated topics.

Thanks in advance!
For groceries, I use the built in flex bed dividers and a board. My iceless cooler fits back there, too, so sometimes I use that.
