I guess I might be the only DIBL vote. I have a SIBL but after owning it, I would prefer a DIBL. The drop in may be slippery but sometimes that’s good as it makes larger items easier to move around, and I think they are easier to clean as debris doesn’t stick to the surface as much. And you can shovel gravel and dirt out easier in my opinion without showing scratch marks on the surface. I had a DIBL in my Ranger for 30 years and it still looked great. You can get a Pendaliner unibody drop in made for the Maverick for $289 installed at Campways and then buy a mat if you sometimes need a anti-slip surface. A lot depends on what you use your bed for.

I put my deposit in 29-July-2022. Picked up my FWD XLT-LUX today, 358 days later! Honestly didn't think it would ever happen! Had the SIBL on order originally, but dealer dropped it for constraints reasons. Then the SBIL went off constraints, but by then Ford had their Feb/Mar price increase by ~$600? I didn't want to change the order and have the price go up $1100 and potentially delay the build.

So, not to start a religious war, but should I do a spray in or Ford drop in bed liner? And any recent recommendations on tonneau cover, or better question, any that people have had a BAD experience with and I should avoid?

Thank you to everyone on this forum for the information sharing.
Never heard of a price increase? Took 8 months to get my 23 maverick, price was the same as the day I ordered.

SIBL, for sure. But the thing that bugged me (curious, not irritated) about your post was the “358 days” thing. Ordered in July, but order banks didn’t open until September. Does that mean your order just sat at the dealer for 45 days? When did you get your order confirmation letter? If you got your truck in 10 months, consider yourself lucky!
You are correct. In July 2022, when rumors were flying that the banks were opening "soon, 1-2 weeks", I put my deposit down. And yes, it sat for 45 days before the banks opened.

When I went to check during winter, the dealer said I was on page 2 of 5 pages of orders. So the sitting at the dealer put my order in front of 45+ days of orders. I do consider myself VERY LUCKY!.

Soft Roll Up. If we say the baseline is this from Ford Accessories:

Then what else would you choose instead of this? Or why NOT this?
Hi,

Congrats on your truck. I got mine after ordering in '21 this past March.

This is the exact tonneau I have. I have not had any leaks while driving in the rain (I park in a garage). But I don't know that it's actually weather tight.
I do love that it rolls up into nothing, so you have the full access, every square inch of the bed.

I haven't done a bed liner yet for similar reasons. I REALLY like being able to hose out the bed.

When/if the bed gets good and damaged, I will probably go to a spray in liner. But, it looks so nice with the tonneau, (and protected) I may never do any type of bed liner. I may let the scratches be---it's a truck!
Also, having the tonneau is supposed to give you 1-2 more mpg. I have not had that experience. But I am getting 700 miles per tank, so I am over the moon with that!

Enjoy
