I've had a hard time adjusting to the speakers also and just finally resolved to the fact that the B&O will never be as good as what I have previously had in my Limited's and Mach E. Even with the Lariet Lux, they still suck, lol. Still love my Mav tho.

Get Walmart+ InHome and just have your groceries put in your refrigerator. No more having to fight groceries ever again. It is an amazing service!

Guys, are we talking about the standard stereo in your Lariat, or are we speaking about the B & O system? Curious bc I have been patiently waiting for my Lariat with the B & O system. Currently I have an XLT/FX4 and though it's not great, the standard stereo works well enough.
Mine is the Lariat with the B&O system, which sounds great. I didn't realize when I posted earlier that you can get a Lariat with a cheaper sound system. My bad.

I don't know which system the OP has in theirs since I incorrectly assumed all Lariats had the upgraded system.

23 Maverick, has to be one of my favorites that I have owned.
However, I have a few items I would some opinions/advice on.

  • Groceries- Currently we put on floor/back seat, if we purchase too much, it just piles in. Besides tonneau, Has anyone found a better way? Going to order vertical net
  • Pistol- A lot of soft plastic, currently I leave in angled by the floor mat. Really weary of putting it elsewhere and risks scratching plastic. Any mounts/holders?
  • Speakers- Even in the Lariat, these are of the basic. Seeking upgrades, prefer direct fit replacement
Sorry to group all of these together, but I figured it was better than 3 post. I tried to search each topic, but keep getting unrelated topics.

Thanks in advance!
If you live in a hot weather state, putting groceries in a cargo net in the bed is not an option unless it's canned goods. I covered the back seat with a full cover and got a couple of medium sized storage bins, so groceries stay in the air conditioned cab.

I just have the factory Lariat setup, no BO. It's basic. Works for radio/BT, however I like to listen to audio books. With road noise, I keep it about 11, some times I need it a little louder, but at 12-13 it crackles like it's too much, when it's only a voice. I just assumed for $200, I could find something a little bit better than factory basics.

Where on earth do you drive where you would feel the need for a ready-carry handgun? That's really weird.

Console vault for your pistol?

I know in my current vehicle a pistol it stays in my driver side map pocket. It did slide a little so I made a piece out of eva foam to take up the slop.

I'll probably try the same when my Maverick finally arrives but I will be installing the console vault for when I'm not in the vehicle and the pistol can't come along.
Mine is kept in the console, holstered and wrapped in a cloth bag. However, with this being the interior of your console, you shouldn't worry about scratches anyway. Scratches you can't see are like eating high calorie foods after midnight...they don't count.

My door map pockets are stuffed with plastic grocery bags to use as garbage bags and/or dog poop bags as needed.

Groceries typically get put on rear floor or seat. Have a wooden divider in the bed that was supposed to serve for a grocery getter, but it's Florida and hotter than the bowels of Hell here right now, and I can't risk my fudge bars melting on the way home. ;)

Depending on where you live, I would be more worried about not locking your gun up. Ford has a center console safe for around $300. Worth every penny. That where I lock my gun up.

Anywhere and EVERYWHERE., Watch the news. Not FaceCrap, the news.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The sound system? My first car was a clapped out '49 Chevy with a tube type AM radio. Took about 5 minutes in the winter for it to warm up and produce any sound. The worst system today sounds like a chorus of angels to me.

Bins as others have suggested and then I recommend a ratcheting cargo bar or two from harbor freight ($23 a piece) checking in at under 5 lbs and taking up minimal space when not deployed

Ratcheting cargo bar is a must. I use it and this cargo solution. Both can be easily removed, collapsed and stored.
