I had wishfully hoped that I wouldn't need to go this route, but my wish was NOT granted. After adding my bed storage system and considerable weight in tools
and supplies, the rear height had dropped about an inch. That in itself was not a problem, as it pretty much just leveled the truck. The problem is when I add even more weight (which is always towards the very back); it would drive with noticeable squat.
I added :
Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear
ITEM # AL57JQ
and the :
Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Remote - Bluetooth - Single Path
ITEM # AL25980

With the minimum recommended 5 PSI in the bags, the rear bumper it's only 1/4" lower than the unladen ride height.

Even with all my additional weight, my average to date is 43.8 MPG.

Nice job! I just installed an Air Lift 100 kit on my FX4 last week. Ride is great, but I am getting squeaking as the rubber bags rub against the metal coils.

Any such noise with your setup? I have the Eibach lift springs on my truck and just looking at your pictures I'd say my bags fit more snugly than yours.

Great post and product. Looks like you toured the hoses through the top of the coil, correct? Saw another member with the hoses hanging out the bottom that made me nervous.

Depends on build. I have an FX4 the rear suspension is completely different and the instructions have you go through the bottom and out the control arm. Looks like his hybrid doesn't even have rear control arms.

The hybrid uses Ford's force vectoring springs in the rear, they are curved to act like torsion bars and reduce body sway.
I see that Air Lift's website says this kit is for Maverick FWD versions but I'm not really sure if the FWD Ecoboost Mavericks use the force vectoring springs like the hybrid does. I have not seen pictures of a FWD Ecoboost Maverick rear suspension to know what springs are in use.
I'm wondering if these bags straighten the force vectoring springs and defeat the spring's purpose.
I have tried contacting the company but I only get people who look at the website and say 'yep, they work for the FWD version'. I cannot get an answer to 'are they are designed for use with the force vectoring springs'.
I thought I'd ask someone who is using them, "do they straighten the force vectoring springs"?

Thanks for your attention and help.

@MarkLally Great write-up, thank you!

@pa-outdoorsman Keep us updated on the noise. I'm thinking these bags are in my future on my '24 Lariat non-FX4 build, my '23 FX4 drops a bit more than I'd like with my boat trailer. No idea if there's a different rear spring used on a FX4 vs non-FX4 (both AWD EB's).

Correct, the hoses come out the top of the coil springs, I can't figure out why you would consider doing it any other way.

I'm pretty confident the Ecoboost FWD rear springs are the same type as the hybrid, although it's posable they are of a different rate. I've seen pictures of the force vectoring springs uninstalled, and it's true that they are going all over the place, but in their saddles they look like any other coil spring. The air springs don't appear to have changed the coil spring shape at all and I haven't noticed any change in ride quality. Keep in mind though that my truck is already loaded in it's new static weight that the air springs at 5 PSI bring it back (nearly) to the original ride height. Installing them on an unladen Maverick could possibly effect the ride, but I wouldn't think by much.

I didn't see this post before I replied to another post. It's true that the rear suspension on the AWD mavericks are completely different. The FWD mavericks don't have a upper control arm in the rear, but they do have a lower control arm; you can see it pretty clearly in picture #7.

Nice work. You could have tried the timben bump stops. I used them on my other trucks. I added a universal bump stop to mine, for my next heavy load. The timbren would not work for me ,because mine is lowered. They are about $225 for them.

I am planning on adding the bladders on my truck because I am moving across the country with it fully loaded and am hoping it helps balance the load. Do you think the wireless compressor is handy enough to be worth the almost 600$ cost? I already have a Viair 88p and originally planned to use that to adjust them with the nozzles coming out by the hitch.

That is pretty awesome and not a bad price IMO.

I think the real question is are you willing to spend the money to have it changed via remote or are you okay with doing it manually?
