Just went through the process of obtaining and installing the Air Lift 1000 system. The previous post are correct. The AWD are smaller and can be ordered from E-Trailer or directly from Air Lift. The photo below has the number. E-Trailer only has the AWD models. I spoke to the headquarters in the product sales department and after a light search he identified the Front Wheel drive Mavericks use a Universal AL 1000 kit. Air Lift doesn’t offer free shipping but it wasn’t much.
I paid a local installer from the E-Trailer list and assisted with the installation (mostly handing tools) and it was not a cheap install ($300) but worth it to me. I now run around town at 10# pressure with no change in feel and bump it up to 35# pressure when pulling my camper. You’ll notice the extra help with a load.

I put the "universal" kit in my Hybrid 2 years ago.

Love it. It helps. And I found the install very easy if you jack up the vehicle to take all weight off the wheels and let the wheel hang.

I did not remove the tires. Maybe that is key to get the most spring stretch. Keep the weight of the tires and rims pulling down. It will help you with the installation.

Did the air springs soften the ride? Make it a little bit more car like? I love my Maverick but I do wish it had a softer ride.

These aren't air springs, they're more like spring augmenters. I run with 10# right now, and it's not softer, if anything it's a tiny bit harsher in the back, but not bad. It feels tighter. So you have the same springs/shocks, but if you load down the truck, you can compensate up to a point, and not sag due to the extra weight. Theoretically up to 1000# when inflated to around 50#, thus the model name, 1000.

$300? Took me an hour and no special skills or tools. Most of the hour was spent getting them inside the springs.

Todd…yes, that’s E-Trailers contractors rate. I couldn’t do the install myself so it all worked out
