How do I track after my Maverick has been shipped

How can I track my Mav after the order status has been changed to "shipped"?

Besides getting this info from your dealer Ford customer service use to provide this info. At least they did last October when I found out my Mach-E had shipped.

I'll be honest though. Tracking your Mav after it has shipped can be more hassle than it is worth. Tracking rail cars and truck transports ain't like ordering toilet paper off Amazon or getting a pizza delivered from The Hut.

It often times leads to more frustration in an already frustrating process.

I look back and laugh now at tracking my Maverick shipment. I was not happy when Vinview showed my Maverick was in Nebraska instead of California where it belonged.

So it took longer that I hoped and liked but I'm sure happy with my Maverick now that I have it.

I got my rail car # from my dealer. The info in the tracking post said that all CSX shipped everything east of the Mississippi. Whenever I called CSX, it said it was in Palo Alto, CA, which it wasn’t. Finally tried Northfolk Southern just to see, and it gave me exact info of where it was. Tracked it all the way after that to small town where truck picked it up to take to dealer in Alabama. Mav was built on July 12th, and I picked it up on August 4.

If it is going rail it is not worth trying,! I live 9 hours from the maverick plant in san diego and it is going to take a month for it to be delivered to my dealer. The dealer said they have no idea when they are coming in. Some come in two weeks before the delivery date others a week after. Very screwy! Just more hurry up and wait!

Plus I got the rail tracking info from my dealer and when i track it it says they have no tracker for this number. And she sent me the screenshot that it is on that rail car.

VinView is your best bet. Dealer can send you a screen shot, I understand some dealers will even share a link directly to your VinView screen. It'll show exactly where it is on a map.

I understand your concern, but tracking your Maverick will not make it appear at your dealership any sooner.

It is not likely that you will be amazed at the speed and efficiency of the rail delivery system. It is much more likely that you will be frustrated at the long unexplained transportation delays.

Just my personal experience. I did not track delivery. Ford sent me an e mail giving a range of delivery dates. On the last date of that range, I drove by the dealership at 6PM and confirmed my Maverick had not arrived. The next morning I was wonderfully surprised to get a call from the dealership. My Maverick had arrived at 7PM the night before. It took 17 months from order to delivery.

Even Vin View is flawed. My Maverick showed on Vin View to be sitting at Hermosillo for weeks. Then the day my railcar showed to have arrived at the local to Houston unloading ramp....Vin View then showed it at that ramp. NO sign of it moving until it was already there!
The railcars do not follow routes just like you think they should either. So if calling about your railcar, be aware that many of the "locations" are old depot's or side tracks where the name is not easily found on anything but an OLD map. I learned to look up old rail facilities to find the locations. They do not always go the shortest route, often quite a bit out of the way before coming back in another direction....

So mine shipped 8/10 and my dealer gave me the railcar #. I’ve tried the CSX trace number several times the last couple days but it tells me the railcar was “released by owner Ontario June 27th no eta available”
I confirmed the railcar number was correct so I’m confused about the status results.
I will just have to periodically rely upon the dealership VinView info if CSX doesn’t have info.
