A lot of truth here. I have tracked many orders by rail over the years. There is no consistency, in time from build to delivery. Weather, equipment break downs and assembly and disassembly of trains can cause huge delays. The last car I tracked was my wifes 2023 Outlander PHEV. Built on Oct 17th 2022 in Japan. Took two weeks to be delivered by ship to the Tacoma Port. Spent a month in the Tacoma port waiting on the options to be installed. Then another two weeks to load on the train. Arrived at the final rail yard on December 27th, 2022. Dealer was 10 miles away from railyard. Then a major snowstorm hit Minnesota. So car was not picked up until two weeks later. Arrived at dealer first week in January 2023. I had it shipped to Texas in an enclosed carrier which took another two weeks. Arrived at our home in the middle of January 2023. Long story short very frustrating. Took about 3 months to get from factory to our driveway.
How often does Vin View update? I received an enrollment text, but have not received anything else.I was a little surprised when the train moseyed up to Saguenay. (Full route not shown. Mileage is from Sarnia.)
