In the better part of a century or so of eyewitness reports, commissions and committees, video and photographs the best or most convincing evidence is the somewhat obscured and blacked out footage of some object over restricted airspace.

Your thread is inherently political as in my opinion it is our own or other governments. I could be wrong but I have to say its at least equally possible that Earth is the Garden spot of the universe.

Actually, I tend to agree with you. But I thought it was good for a laugh or at least mildly amusing. . I am of the Viet Nam War generation. Nuff said about trusting the gov't. I was not made to government specifications, though and could not follow the family's Navy tradition

Not to go off the rails but ever read a Reader's Digest from the 1980's or seen the NBC News segment from the same era titled "The Fleecing of America"? Reports replete with Defense Dept. budget stories of fifty dollar hammers and hundred dollar toilet seats. A fact my younger brother confirmed from his experience in the Army and which according to him were funds siphoned off and set aside for black ops projects, whatever that may mean.

As for the possibility of visiting intelligent life the question of when they are from is just as valid as where the are from. The monuments of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia as well as the New World came from peoples and civilizations that shared a coexistence with primitive hunter gather tribes, as do we in our time. They could have very well been here all along. Dunno. Just a random supposition for a lazy Saturday afternoon.

You are right though. Secrets are meant to be kept and weaving a false narrative is nothing new.

I trust this particular government with absolutely no chance........that said, if UFO's are real, (I think so), my theory is the DOD takes control of the vehicle/beings and is trying to reverse engineer it to gain an advantage against everyone else in the world so they won't talk about it.
