I tried to put in an order yesterday. We went through the whole order process until he gave me the final cost breakdown. Over $1600 in bogus fees. EPP fee - $699, Nitro Fill - $299, Doc fee - $629. WTF! Supposedly EPP is some kind of environmental fee. Nitro Fill is to fill the tires with nitrogen. Really? Doc fee is inflated but not totally bogus. I said "I'm not paying that." He said, "Sorry we can't take your order then." I walked out. I tried calling another local dealer where I tested an XLT Ecoboost but they never called back. I'll probably try other local dealers and see what happens.

Nitrogen fill is so funny.
Supposed to prevent decay from oxygen inside the tire. Ask him what he's got for outside the tire.

At least they told you about the additional fees right now. It's better than waiting several months then finding out once your Maverick has arrived that it's going to cost more than what you thought.

Before sitting down with a sales person ask them upfront if they have an ADM on ordered vehicles, if they have mandatory addons, and what their fees are.

Good advice! I know my order has rolled into a 2024 but I have no idea what the new fees will be! The dealer has me by the @#$&? because he knows the new order must go thru them. When I pick up the truck I need to bring my cousin Vito along! (6 foot 7, 280 pounds). Vito has a way of making people more agreeable...

Yeah,in my book black is too much part of that Tacticool look, white is for work fleets, the red is extra, The blue is ok, but I sat there and decided I was gonna get sick of it at some point. So, Cactus it is. Really sucks they axed Area 51.

You can fill your tires with nitrogen for free at Costco. That's what they have in the air pumps at my local Costco.

You’ll love the Hot Pepper Red. It’s a great color for the Maverick.

Sounds like a pretty sh!tty dealer. At least they were up front during the ordering process.

I would respectfully suggest going to another dealership in person if possible rather than calling.

Same thoughts here. I also wanted something lighter so it wouldn't be as hot.

I somewhat disagree, I have a '23 Cactus on order. I like the color although it was a quick discission as I had never actually seen it on a vehicle. When I finally saw it for real I liked it even more and thought it would give something extra to a simple XL hybrid and prevent it from looking like a meter reader. I've had time to think about it over the past 10 months. I plan this truck to be a keeper. (I'm retired and my current daily is a 1993 Nissan. My wife drives a Prius and we currently use that for trips.) As much as I like Cactus Grey, Area 51, and some of the other trendy colors, in the future I don't t want my truck to look dated because of the color. Ford may make it look dated due to body changes, we'll see. White, black, red, and silver are pretty much timeless IMO and will not put a vehicle in a particular time period. For many other reasons l have now rolled over to a' 24 Lariat that needs no color to enhance it. White is perfect and timeless.

Oh yeah, totally just IMHO. Whatever floats folks boat. Just wish they'd at least given us the new blue color on the XL tier considering how many they took out.

Do fully agree. Four colors lost, only two added and two limited.

It’s their default for everything. I’ve tried to have it changed before with my initial order and our Bronco order but no luck. Order number and name match my ‘23 order though.
my dealer claims they put all orders in at 19, including rollovers. However, I believe ford is going through rollover orders and changing their priority over what dealerships have placed on the order.

My dealer claims the same exact thing. I really hope Ford does as they said they would
