Should I worry mine is 19 (default for all orders at my dealer)? Will Ford fix that or do I have to fist fight with my dealer?
If it is a 23 to 24 conversion order, they should have made it higher priority than 19. I think 10 was what Ford advised, but not sure. A new 24 order is gonna be a 19.

so I just got an email that my 2023 is scheduled for production but I assume that is still not likely if I remember how this went for other people.
It means it will be built.

Second, both XLT and Lariat LUX packages are still listing Windshield Wiper De-Icer. I thought that item was removed from all models this coming model year.

The online build section isn't the gold standard, the order guide is and it says deleted.

It’s their default for everything. I’ve tried to have it changed before with my initial order and our Bronco order but no luck. Order number and name match my ‘23 order though.

So it's required NOW.
A new COVP number or the same one from 2023.
I can not rely on my dealer for this - I have to know.
I don't know if there is a COVP 'number' but Ford wants to verify that the same real person wants a '24 built, not the dealer wanting it. They slacked off on COVP last year but were burned with a lot of ghost or duplicate orders so they reinforced it in April, ending up canceling about 10% of the unscheduled orders.

Noted two items on the 2024 Maverick Build & Price pages.

First, the Lariat Hybrid is lower in cost than the EB:

There was a mixup in the builder about the cost of the eco which requires the AWD and the hybrid which is FWD. No $2,200 AWD but with $1,500 hybrid is $720 cheaper. If they had included AWD with hybrids this year people would be having heart attacks with a $3,700 price increase for hybrid AWD.

Lariat EB only comes in AWD, so the Lariat Hybrid will be $750 cheaper since it's only FWD

I'm hoping I get my order faster than I got my last Maverick. it took about a year to get my xlt hybrid, but this time around, I ordered a Lariat hybrid. It's not a rollover which makes me nervous but I'm hoping maybe if it's a lariat it will have a higher chance than an xl or xlt? idk.

I noticed the same. I bet most XL capacity will be used for rollovers. Risky to order one if you’re a new order and NEED it this year. (Just my hunch).
Well, I upgraded from a '23 XL to a'24 Lariat rollover. At least there is one more available. The reasons I changed was the stuff I learned on this forum and removal of options. I really wanted CP Assist.

Well, Ford botched this as much as they botched everything else about the Maverick. My dealer told me they are "automatically" renewing all 2023 orders that weren't fulfilled to a 2024.
Exactly what Ford was trying to avoid. I was told going in there like I did wasn't necessary. I checked on the ford.com site chat the status of my order and she confirmed that yes it was updated to a 2024. So apparently nothing was required to be signed because I signed nothing and if that's all true I have to imagine every single dealer out there is doing the same thing. No dealer is going to miss out on getting a truck that somebody didn't want and marking it up five or $10,000.
They totally botched this.

so did this only happen as a way to identify me as a person who ordered a 23 who then ordered a 24?

Not every dealer, maybe some. Go to your dealership and ask what they need from you for COVP on your order. Here's the latest COVP process form that I've seen:
