Doesn't matter what PC the dealer puts in for '23 rollovers Ford is handling the PC because a lot of dealers didn't do it right last year.
My understanding is the dealer can only set it as low as 10. Anything less is Ford's doing. Maybe Ford knows for sure my 23 isn't going to be built and maybe the 10s still have a chance? IDK?

It's just trust now....and save the email where they agree to X-Plan. But you now have your X-Plan price number. (Plus up to $100 Doc fee). After seeing all the issues here, I stayed on top of my dealer, always expecting the worst to happen...but everything remained above board with no nonsense. My local dealer was great, so I gave them my repeat business.

Before my first order, I did cruise around their lot looking for nonsense fees added to their new cars, I didn't see any, so I felt reassured.

They didn't even hassle me about extended warranties. Just asked once if I wanted one. The price I paid was exactly the X-Plan price, plus $100 DOC, and some $35 lien processing fee. I didn't have a concern about it.
I'm glad you were in contact with the members of this forum. I for one, wanted to help you by giving you information you had questions about. It seems like together we know more then the salespeople about all the problems, and concerns when buying a Maverick.

I am VERY sure that without staying in touch with the Forum (and following @fordvideoguy, found here), that I would not have the exact truck I wanted, albeit 491 days after my order where the salesman said "6 to 8 weeks" and I laughed at him.

The salesman's job is to get you to buy...not help you accomplish delivery. Some salesmen have interest in helping, most feel that their job is done once you made an order.

The very few trolls here don't take away from the value. When someone provides the wrong answer, purposefully or accidentally, there are always enough folks to jump in with additional/corrected information.

Build in signature, ordered as a backup plan in case MY23 doesn't get built or dealer tries to stick me with markups. Also might serve well just as negotiation fodder since I can get more-for-less on a MY24 Lariat.

I'll be disappointed to miss out on the Area51, but it's got a priority of 20 (it was a dealer stock order initially) and has been bumped five times, and according to the tracker is currently unscheduled so I'm not getting my hopes up.

On Monday they couldn't enter orders until mid-afternoon and the system kept going down. So many didn't get their DORA. Call the dealer and ask for it plus they need to do a new COVP if yours is a rollover.
I know that the order number has to be the same.
But you're certain it needs a new COVP number?
To avoid the rush in 6 months or so when Ford decides 2024s all need COVP numbers like they pulled in 2023.

Dealers can now go as low as 3.

So it's required NOW.
A new COVP number or the same one from 2023.
I can not rely on my dealer for this - I have to know.

For any of the dealers/sales people on the forum - does the ordering system show how many orders have been entered/confirmed? How many are hybrids?

@fordvideoguy ?

Dealers don't read these forums.
If they did they would know 20 times what they know.
If my dealer read these forums and put my name together with my order - I'd for sure never get my truck.

You can get answers here that are 1000% correct from @fordvideoguy , who DOES frequent this forum AND even does live YouTube videos that you can actually ask and get your questions answered. Tim is the man. There are a couple more folks who definitely work at dealerships and have provided good, straight answers.

Noted two items on the 2024 Maverick Build & Price pages.

First, the Lariat Hybrid is lower in cost than the EB:

Second, both XLT and Lariat LUX packages are still listing Windshield Wiper De-Icer. I thought that item was removed from all models this coming model year.

3 is really good. I'm a 3 too. I wonder why some carryovers are 10 and some are 3? I ordered an XL Hybrid. Same as last year.
Should I worry mine is 19 (default for all orders at my dealer)? Will Ford fix that or do I have to fist fight with my dealer?

so I just got an email that my 2023 is scheduled for production but I assume that is still not likely if I remember how this went for other people.
