Between the increase and wait, it has worked for me.
I have decided my existing truck (2013) has a new lease on life. I will wait to see what ‘25 has to offer.
The build price I need is approaching other trucks. Seems better to say goodbye to Ford Maverick for now.

I don't think it will be much. I think Ford was seeing a ton of people ordering the Lariat with the Lux already so it makes sense to just offer the one all-inclusive package.
My 23 Lariat hybrid Co Pilot 360 with BAP and no other add ons without Lux package $32,200 for this year over $39,000.

Any turn of events that puts us back to having cars sitting on dealer lots at a discount is a good thing. The past couple of years have been ridiculous and it's time to have prices come back down to earth.
It might happen sooner than later for other vehicles but I don't see that happening for the Maverick any time soon. We are stuck in an ugly loop.

Dealers are adding Market adjustments because Mavericks are rare.
Because of Market adjustments people are doing custom orders in hopes of paying MSRP.
Because everyone is doing custom orders nothing is casually left on the lot begging to be sold at a discount.

The only way this cycle gets broken is if dealers altogether stop with market adjustments (not likely), Ford makes significantly more Mavericks (not likely), or interest in the Maverick significantly drops.

I'm guessing interest won't drop until a genuine competitor comes to the table with an affordable equivalent, Ford prices out most customers, OR we have at least 5 years worth of Mavericks in the market ready to be sold as used.

I'm hesitant to make any definitive conclusions at this point. Truth is, we just don't really KNOW.

That said, a few observations and gut feelings:

1. I think it is interesting that there have been no "news stories" or "social media influencers" warning of the impending order bank closing on Mavericks. That, in and of itself, would suggest orders (while probably still fairly brisk) are not on the same frenzied level as last year.

2. As others have noted, there are plenty of "other" vehicles available on dealer lots. No, not small, affordable pickups, but plenty of other SUVs, sedans and other trucks just accumulating. This applies to other Ford models and many models from other brands. You are starting to see finance and rebate incentives advertised. The market is clearly cooling. Not free-falling, mind you, but cooling. The see-saw between a seller's market and a buyer's market appears to be pivoting.

3. The "shine" is off the Maverick apple, in terms of newness and novelty. It's still a great, useful, good-looking, affordable pickup, but it's not the flavor of the month anymore. And, as others have noted, the fact that Ford has simultaneously pissed off would-be Maverick owners by not building their orders while de-contenting and raising prices for future order holders is not exactly the best strategy to stoke enthusiasm for the vehicle.

My main sales rep at my local Ford dealership told me that she’s only had 7 orders so far. Last year they 60 in the same time period. This is the entire dealership, 7 orders. I know it’s antidotal but that’s pretty shocking. What are you all seeing?
Granger Ford stopped taking orders as they filled up their projected 75 allocations. The same was true with my local dealer in Austin.

Making the hybrid an option definitely gave me pause. The increase really killed the wiggle room I had for options. Most I can add aftermarket, but I had been hoping to get the Copilot. Ordered a bare bones XL and had the price gone any higher, I'd be out. Supply chain issues aside, Ford just really seems to have dropped the ball as far as supporting the hybrid model. It still boggles my mind that Ford put out a $20,000 hybrid standard vehicle and didn't seem to think it would be a big hit.

As I have said before, if my '23 does not arrive, I am done with the Maverick. I will consider it a noble experiment with promise that failed. Apparently, I am not alone in this feeling.

I certainly feel not having a base Lariat is going to lower demand on the Lariat. There is a BIG difference in price between my MY 23 Lariat hybrid and the MY 24 Lariat hybrid.
My Lariat Hybrid pretty much stayed the same as I had ordered all the options that are now standard. Only extra I ordered was the moon roof and changed color to Terrain

Also remember that as each month goes by and more orders are fullfilled your taking a share away from the demand. Ford is on borrowed time with the Maverick as the competition comes to market. I did see where Consumer Reports highly rates the Maverick Hybrid.

Same!!!! I’ve waited to leave any review publicly.
Waiting a year is excessive, time is ticking Ford!

what exactly did you order, $4500 is a lot. sounds like you might have had a '23 lariat non-lux or XLT non-lux with BAP.

no one will really know until they get their private offer, but based on the verbiage Ford used initially, I think the offer could be on the trim level only. so if the XLT hybrid increased $1,500 or whatever, that might be your offer.
2023 order was a Hybrid XLT lux with spray in bed liner. Cannot get that combo now since the lux comes with a drop in liner too. Not a big deal, I can get LIne-X like I did on my current truck. Order went from about 27k to about 31k without spray in liner.

Dramatic... but if it was scheduled 6/15/23 per your signature, clearly it is going to arrive barring a train derailment or some kind of incident in delivery.

For now I’m going say just this is just few dealers experiences . @fordvideoguy have you guys gotten a lot maverick 2024 orders?
I can answer for Tim because on his last livestream he stated that they are not taking any new MY24 orders as their unscheduled MY23 orders exceed their MY24 total allocations.

Not dramatic. Not in the least. I do not trust Ford. Yes, it is true I stand a good chance of getting my truck. No argument there, but until it is sitting In my garage anything can happen and I have no desire to repeat this process again. That was my point. :)
