Does the XLT have LED headlights and the XL doesn't? I'm confused by the LED activated headlamps mentioned for the XLT.

No. Not silly at all. I'm so angry about now having to order a $39,000 Maverick (Loaded Lariat) so that I can interact with my dogs while they ride out back. I'm considering not ordering a Maverick next week. I've had a pre-order in the ready since September and I'm considering not even placing the thing next week... as My build has gone from $30k to $39k now. I can't even put into words how angry I am over the loss of a rear sliding window in the XLT trim.

All Mavericks have LED headlamps with LED high beams, it can automatically turn on both the low and high beams depending on lighting. Lariat gets "upgraded" headlamps.

The difference for XLT is that it adds the wiper-activated feature. That means that when your headlamps are in Auto (which the vehicle defaults to every time you hop in), and turn on your wipers, the headlamps will turn on as well.

Why it has auto lamps and auto high beams standard but the software feature of wiper-activated headlamps is disabled on XL is beyond me. They should all have that. Turn on your wipers in the rain, people.

Can anyone else confirm. I see it on here, but I could read the pages wrong. Does it appear that if I get the 4k.... I get a full sized spare tire now?

Yeah, keypad removal really stinks. It was one of my "must-have" features and honestly swayed me to a Ford from other brands.

It's super valuable if you're going to be outside in nature all day and don't want to bring your keys with your. Throw the keys in the glove box, lock the doors and boom you're good to go.

It's a ~$100 Ford Accessory easily added at/after delivery...

Don't just look at the summary, look at the actual package. 4k tow on all trims lists the full size (dissimilar) spare, which is fitting for a 4k tow package. Though, the tow package on my Bronco Sport came with an actual full size spare, same (meh) Continental tire as the 4 alloy wheels.

Lets see what price protection Ford offers before going off the rails.

So now we wait for what Ford is going to do with Private Offers for unscheduled 23s. I think a lot of Trim selections will depend on the offset.

There’s still “value” if you select the Lariat trim…… but that’s where FMC makes more money anyway.

I think some people with XLs have reported that they do in fact have the wiper-activated headlights regardless of what the build guide says.
