Did yours actually show in the tracker a build date or just the email? Mine is just in the email. Don’t forget to order a MAV24 with same order code in case the date gets pushed. I’m going in the 17th to do so myself
Within a few days of the email showing build week of 7/31/23 the tracker showed a build date of 8/4/23. If it gets pushed I will be shopping for an EB off a lot this fall.

Current Focus A/C is limping and I'm not putting $ in it. Can't put up with that for long in Tucson.

my first hybrid, but I'm blown away by the low end torque of this thing. It's surprisingly fast when passing cars. And for things like getting onto ramps, backing up a hill etc is MUCH easier than any other ICE cars.

We've had a couple complaint threads so let's hear some unexpected positive things that surprised you about your Mav. Not your general likes, but something that exceeded what you expected.

For me:

Excellent AC
Interior roominess despite small size
Quiet and smooth ride (this was probably my #1 surprise, saw many complaints on this one but my XLT hybrid is very smooth and quiet at highway speeds)

I have a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid, Cactus Grey with 15,986 miles on it. I made two trips from Texas to New Mexico, one trip from Texas to Bardstown, KY and one trip from Texas to Grandfather Mt. NC. I have never had a problem at all with anything. I change my oil every 7,000 miles at the dealer to take advantage of their free vehicle inspection routine and I have them rotate and balance the tires at the same time. I always use Shell gasoline and I am getting 39.6 mpg for the total milage on the vehicle. Last summer I towed a 900 pound flat bed trailer with 100 bags of mulch and another 50 bags in the bed and I noticed no change in the way it drove at all. The truck is quiet, has a smooth ride and it is very easy to drive and the AC works really well. The standard radio is fine for my needs and the only complaint I have is the useless little cubby beside the video screen. Enough zip on the highway to handle any passing situation and all in all I am very pleased with my purchase.

Just about in every way, but mostly I think of the value I got in this truck for the money spent. The XLT with the 360 package is everything I need. I could have spent many thousands more and not be as satisfied. A plus in hot 🥵 Texas is that the AC could cool a side of beef.

Gas mileage in town is incredible on the Hybrid.. Getting over 600 miles per tank and that is about 25% highway. Rest in town or low speed highways. (45mph). It is quiet and handles good. SO far no issues other than the grabby brakes and they are better after the TSB installed. Good value for the money. No dealer mark up.

Mileage is surprisingly better than I expected, in all driving conditions. The overall comfort is very good, including the suspension. The bed carries a goodly amount of stuff in it. And this is our first vehicle that has ever had more creature comforts like heated steering and seats. All in all we are extremely happy with our 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid, which just passed 10K mileage this weekend.

Insane gas mileage and well above sticker estimates.
Incredible comfort on both long and short trips.
My wife and I wanted a vehicle that made us smile every time we walked up to it and the Maverick certainly does that. Nice looking uni body!
We didn’t expect so many compliments and questions from people.

Just did a 1228.8 mile road trip around Scotland, my Maverick Hybrid did that on a tank and a half of gas and averaged 40.2 MPG for the whole trip (the 70 MPH motorway legs wrecked the average, while the smaller legs in Scotland were regularly tapping 50+ MPG).

Good question , I traded in a 2021 Ford explore ST, I had second thoughts but went ahead and did it, I bought the XL hybrid with trailer hitch and 360 that’s it,.

1. I am totally impressed with the fit and finish of the maverick the. explorer had many many issues paint Body dings from the factory seat back lot of issues. Build quality on the explorer was below average.

2. gas mileage ( if driven correctly) is amazing. I’m averaging over 600 miles per tank, that’s a 13.8 gallon tank ….. imo there’s no reason to buy electric car if you can get this kind of mileage for so little money!

3. The price, I am so used to paying upwards of $50,000 for a car /truck that’s not perfect.. and gets 19 mpg if that, 45/47 mpg seems unreal …I believe Ford hast to be losing money .

4. I paid sticker no funny business✅

The main reason we ordered a Maverick was to tow our travel trailer, didn't want an SUV, didn't need a bigger truck, just wanted something practical, good on gas, comfy on long trips and would fit in our garage. All those things others have mentioned it has met expectations, but, I am still constantly impressed with how well it tows, 5k + miles of towing our little trailer now and I have yet to be in a position where I have needed more power, more braking, more stability or more of anything really. It does it all flawlessly. I've towed big loads with big trucks over the years but this little truck impresses me more than anything

The pure joy……………
I ordered my Lariat on Labor Day’21.
Took delivery in mid Jan’22.
In the interim, I remember reading here of one member who got up every morning, looked into his garage, and a grin would appear on his face.
I understand.
I’ll be 75 later this year. Have had many vehicles over the years. All gave a modicum of joy, with varying longevity.
So now it’s been a year and a half, and I still feel joy
(admittedly somewhat diminished) every morning when I put up the shade and there she is!
Wonder how long this will last!
Milage ain’t bad either.

The fuel economy is even better than estimated; my 2.0 averages 8.5L/100km

Things that have exceeded expectations:
1. The door keypad! Love that thing...I don't bother to carry the key fob most of the time...just leave it locked in the truck.
2. FordPass app...being able to start and warm up the truck from my office was awesome this winter.
3. I can fit more stuff in the small bed than I anticipated.
4. My EB mileage is just a bit worse than my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek...and I get WAY more utility with the Mav.

Maybe it's the difference in having the FX4? I drive mine in Eco mode around town.
No eco mode on the 2.0 Turbo, at least not mine. FX4 shouldn't change it, but I have upgraded tires; even before the new shoes, mileage was still as I reported. Others on here have confirmed this a few times...
