I just signed up yesterday, but the dealer told me that my car will be available in about a week. To be honest, I am not sure if the dealer will be able to hold for delivery.

Got two quick questions;

1. I saw people discussed here in the forum, sometime it won't take 30 days to be able to print the certificate, is it true?

2. Is it possible to use other people's certificates? It looks like every member can generate up to 5 cetificates?

3. Can the certificate be retroactive? I also saw someone here in the forum mentioned it can be.

Thanks

I think you waited too long to sign up.

My certificates were available to printed at 28 days I believe.

Certificates have member's name and are in the Ford system under buyer's name so using someone else's cert might be difficult.

Sorry, you cannot use other people's certificates.
Since you joined yesterday, you will have to wait till the end of the month. Only when you join mid month can you get them at the end of the month, thus shorter than the 30 day wait.

Sorry, your certificate won't be ready in time for your delivery(next week). Next time, sign up when your order is assigned a VIN, that should leave you with time for the certificate to be generated and update to Ford's system.

If you have a certificate, it takes a little time to update to Ford's system, and you can call Ford's marketing dept. to verify if the certificate is in their system.

I'd keep checking. IIRC some people were able to log in to the rebate certificate portal before 30 days. It partially comes down to how long it takes for the Farm Bureau in question to sync their roster with Ford.

Also you may be able to claim it after the purchase, but in that case you'll need to wait to receive the rebate Ford.

Can you just be a member, or do you have to insure with them? TIA

Did you ask your dealer if he will accept the Farm Bureau Discount? If not, you may be wasting your money.

I seriously doubt you can use someone else's certificate, that doesn't make much sense. Like others have said, it depends when you take delivery. But found this on California's Farm bureau site -
Must be a Farm Bureau member for 30 consecutive days prior to purchase and take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer's stock by January 3, 2024.

well not really a waste of you know what the organization supports, but it’s best to check with the dealer; they aren’t required to accept it

I have a similar but different question. I signed up for FB a year ago and my membership renews on July 31st. I have already downloaded and printed a certificate. My truck won't be delivered until sometime in August. Will I be able to use the certificate that I already printed after July 31st without renewing my membership?

Probably so, unless the CTF has an expiration date. You might want to check with the dealer or FB.
