So, here we are, not being scheduled this year. Our dealers should be contacting us to order a 2024 Maverick using the SAME order number that was used for our 2023. And then, they are supposed to cancel our 2023 order and Ford somehow will know that we have priority over all the NEW orders so we'll get built first.

Yeah... I may have some trust issues with this process.

(at least 3 people who ordered 3-4 days AFTER me at our smallish dealer have already been scheduled. One of them has basically the same Maverick that I ordered sans moonroof and color.)

Anyway,
Who thinks we'll ACTUALLY get our Mavericks before Johnny come lately who places his order this month.

I think the process will work for most, but not all but, I'm not holding my breath for my Maverick.

Ford has a list of MY23 order numbers. If your MY24 order matches an exiting MY23 orders, it'll be moved to the front of the line.

It's a way better and more reliable process than trusting every dealer to futz with priority codes.

I had an order from October 2021 and was scheduled after thousands from September 2022. I wouldn't be too concerned about 3-4 days after.

But he and I work together... and we went to the same dealership... And dammit, I was there when the order bank opened. 😭

Yeah, I get that people have had it rougher but that doesn't mean I feel any better about my wait.

Just checked Ford Chat... and once again, not scheduled. So, I'm going to take the 17th off and go to my dealer... again. I'm going to take a printout of the process with me because I don't trust their ability to complete the steps correctly.

Believe me, I understand perfectly what you're saying and how you feel. I ordered a Lariat Hybrid loaded 2 days before my brother ordered the very same truck except color. My brother has been driving his for a month now, and I haven't even moved in line to be selected for production. I'm not sure just what system they use to select orders for production. However, I'm convinced that it isn't fair. I suppose no matter what system they use, somebody is going to be left behind. IDK?

According to Tim's livestream, your dealer needs to put in your MY24 order with the same dealership code and the same order number (I'm certain having a COVP completed wouldn't hurt). Then, when Ford cuts over to MY24 scheduling, they will pull down a list of the MY23 orders that have not been scheduled yet and grab their corresponding MY24 order at the same dealership and prioritize it themselves ahead of any MY24 order that does not have a corresponding unscheduled MY23 order.

Personally, I think this is where the previously mentioned Priorities 3-9 will come into play. Ford will slap them all at 3-9 and new MY24s will be limited to 10-19.

I hear ya. There is someone on here that ordered at my dealer the same day I did. The only real difference was his was an XLT Lux and mine was a Lariat Lux. His was scheduled in Feb 2022 and delivered around May. Mine wasn't scheduled until August and then canceled and didn't ultimately get mine until March this year...almost a YEAR after his. Unfortunately its a crapshoot out there.

I don't believe your dealer should cancel the MY 2023 order. It just goes unfulfilled. I seem to recall that was the case for the MY22->MY23 transition as well in order to get the private offer in MY23. Cancelled orders were not considered for price protection/private offer.

Correct....the 23 order should definitely NOT be cancelled. That will probably lose you your priority & private transition offer!!

Tim's video indicated that Ford would track and if they built a MY23 order and saw a corresponding MY24 order with the same order number it would be cancelled.

Hopefully, Ford will try to pick all the remaining Area 51 and Alto Blue orders they can for MY23. (y)

The date you ordered has nothing to do with when you get built. Some who ordered in 2021 still don't have a truck, while over half of the 2023's have been delivered.

XLT had a higher build rate than Lariat, that's why.

Did you order from the same dealer?
