I believe there is information concerning price protection on 2023 orders rolled over to 2024 production? I can't find it in my searches, so could someone point me to the proper place to see price protection formulas? I have a 2023 order for a XLT hybrid with Lux package, 360 package, and floor mats. Original price was $28,465. The new 2024 price is $32,470. I'm just wondering if there is a way to know what portion of the $4,005 I will actually have to pay?

Call Ford Marketing, and confirm that you have a Private Offer on your 23 to 24 rollover, which for an XLT Hybrid should be $3400.

I don't recall where it is on this forum. It is Program #32168 titled "23MY to 24MY Maverick Retail Transition Private Offer" and the matrix for your engine/trim shows $3400 for the hybrid XLT. BEWARE! The certificate $$$ go to the dealer not to you, the retail customer. I have posted here several times that when I picked up my Mav on 11/17/2023 the dealer tried to give me $600 less than the $2500 under the offer for my hybrid Lariat. I had to get pretty drastic to get them to cut me a check for the additional $600. Long McArthur confirmed that indeed your dealer ultimately controls the amount they pass on to you and so did Ford Customer Service. My advice is once they notify you the Mav is ready, ask your sales person by email to send a break down and itemize all the fees, and credits that apply to your transaction. My dealer gave me the following excuses: "We had problems like this with other customers", "Smart Vincent won't let us apply more than $1900" and "Ford changed the program". Even when I showed them their email from the sales person itemizing the costs with a credit of $2500 sent an hour before I arrived at the dealership, they told me "Oh we didn't know it at the time". I asked them to show me the notice from Ford that the program was changed. Naturally they refused, said it was "confidential Ford communication". Total BS.

Stop me if this is excessive info: I didn't tell them [all by email with sales person] how I planned to pay for it. When I asked for the email with itemized list of charges and credits I told them I needed it for my bank. I also wrote that I did not want them to add items like fictional fabric protector, paint sealer, tracking device, etc. etc. I did not tell them I did not intend to purchase a maintenance protection plan until we got to that. I also did not tell them that I was going to write them a check and I let them present their financing options. Ultimately I charged the max they would allow on my credit card [They limited that to $2500] so I could earn the credit and wrote a check for the balance. From my knowledge of the process, it is the sales manger, not the sales person who dictates the fuckery that goes on. Even though I didn't know my sales person prior to my purchase, his kids went to the same schools, played the same sports as mine, we live in the same community etc. etc. I also learned that when purchasing a vehicle "Verify before you trust".
