I'd like to, but chances of getting another aren't great. Worse, buying another at today's interest rates is going to SUCK!
That's true about the interest rates and then of course trying to get an order placed and playing the waiting game again!! Just totally sucks!!
I have question about the picture with side airbag deployed. Is that another airbag deployed down where you knees would be?

Damn man, sorry to see and hear! Glad you are ok!! That's the most important thing. Vehicles can replaced, although when it comes to Maverick's not easily. Hope everything works out for you!

My biggest fear right now
Right? Just ridiculous when people don't pay attention! As you're WELL aware with the hassle you've been dealing with!

That's true about the interest rates and then of course trying to get an order placed and playing the waiting game again!! Just totally sucks!!
I have question about the picture with side airbag deployed. Is that another airbag deployed down where you knees would be?
Yeah, that's exactly what it is. The only two airbags that didn't deploy were the passenger side dash and footwear, but nobody was riding with me.

As much as I could complain about this whole ordeal and how much I hurt I can ABSOLUTELY commend @Ford Motor Company for keeping me safe. A 40 MPH nearly head-on and I have some torn muscles. Now if they could only hook me up with a replacement. 🤔🤣

Damn man, sorry to see and hear! Glad you are ok!! That's the most important thing. Vehicles can replaced, although when it comes to Maverick's not easily. Hope everything works out for you!
Thank you! I'm really mad about losing the Maverick but life's too short to worry about material things. I just wish I could catch a break with all that's been going on in my life. This is actually pretty minor. Something has to give!

Well that sucks. Yours was one of my favorite builds. I'm glade to hear your ok though.
I'm flattered and honored, thank you. Was scheduled to get the bumpers and side skirts painted soon too. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Who knows, maybe I'll find another Maverick and start another build thread.

Just an update. Her insurance decided to total my truck. I stripped what I could but some of the things just didn't make sense.

I left the Fosgate speakers in the doors, dash and C pillars, pulled the rest of the stereo.

I left the Hyundai Homelink mirror. For $20 it wasn't worth pulling.

I left the Eibach springs. Not worth the effort for $300 springs.

Window tint, obviously.

I did pick up it's replacement and I'm in the process of driving home to Utah from Alabama. I'll start a new thread on that soon but will post a link here when I do.

One HUGE thanks to my good buddy Topper!

Yeah, they were excellent to work with and stand behind their products. Highly recommended!

Regarding my own post, I need to clarify. The stock 17's (tires) are slightly smaller than the 19's (tires) I put on, so the actual lowering I posted above won't be 100% accurate.

I'm running 235/55R19's now. The difference in diameter is about 1/2" so in theory you could add an additional 1/4" more to the drop.

I chose a slightly taller sidewall for a few reasons, but most importantly to fill more fender gap.

Moreover....
I'd love to drop it two more inches but there's just not room to get it that low and make it ride decent without airbags. This is my work truck and I'll put 30-35k on it every year. I don't need to deal with bags and lines on the side of the road somewhere while customers are waiting.

I had budgeted for Scale coilovers, but after reading everything @volksnuts and others went through trying to get a ride they could live with I just don't see it in the near future. The Silvers are reportedly no better. I hope someone can sort this out soon because I'd really like to lose more fender gap.

Here are a few of my trucks over the years.

Those 1985 Nissan 720s were sick in the mid-late 80s here in So Cal. The 720 was my dream mini truck back in the day; but I couldn't afford one.

My Eibach Pro springs have settled some.(?)

I've put 2900 miles on my truck since I lowered it on 12/31. I measured the amount of drop again today and the front has settled a bit. I'd still like it to come down 1/2" more in the front.

Front stock:

One thing I mentioned earlier in this thread, my 235/55R19's are SLIGHTLY taller than the stock 17's so the amount of drop is actually more than shown on my tape.

Front: 34 13/16" stock to 31 13/16" dropped.

Rear: 35 13/16" stock to 31 5/8" dropped.

I'm sharing this so others have an idea what to expect - roughly a 3" front and 4 3/16" rear drop.
Thanks for the numbers.
