Did you have any issues installing the springs or did you have a shop do the work?My Eibach Pro springs have settled some.(?)
I've put 2900 miles on my truck since I lowered it on 12/31. I measured the amount of drop again today and the front has settled a bit. I'd still like it to come down 1/2" more in the front.
Front stock:

One thing I mentioned earlier in this thread, my 235/55R19's are SLIGHTLY taller than the stock 17's so the amount of drop is actually more than shown on my tape.
Front: 34 13/16" stock to 31 13/16" dropped.
Rear: 35 13/16" stock to 31 5/8" dropped.
I'm sharing this so others have an idea what to expect - roughly a 3" front and 4 3/16" rear drop.
I did them at home in my shop, was a piece of cake. If you've ever replaced struts you can do this.Did you have any issues installing the springs or did you have a shop do the work?
That's freaking awesome!!! I hope I can garner the same attention once I lower my Mav!!Friday morning I ran down to Del Mar, California for the Good Guys Rod & Custom show. One of my favorite events of the year.
I washed my truck before I left, but just a quick clean for the 435 mile drive.
Saturday morning I pulled into the very back of the show area (nobody wants to see a Maverick at a hot rod show) then later pulled it behind a building when parking started filling up.
Sunday morning I returned to the show to grab a few things from vendors and a friend. I wiped the bugs off of the front bumper with a microfiber cloth and a few drops of water - that was the extent of my cleaning! A short while later I came back to the truck to make the drive home and found a sticker on my headlight and a yellow paper on my windshield wiper. At Goodguys shows that indicates you've been selected for an... award!?
Yes, my silly little 2023 truck won an award where there were roughly 2000 registered hot rods. I'm going to be honest, I was quite embarrassed - honored, flattered and grateful, but embarrassed.
So I stuck around for a few hours for the awards ceremony before I realized that I had to drive through the winners circle in front of hundreds of people with full customs in excess of $500k to get my award. Yes, embarrassing.
My Maverick was certainly out of place for the event but I guess the staff liked it. Again, honored, flattered and grateful. Thanks Goodguys! What a GREAT weekend and this really made it extra fun!
A few pics I took.

I would like to ask you or anyone else that would care to respond ,At the dealership now picking up my '23 XL hybrid. Only option is the 400W inverter.
I have $5000 worth of parts in the shop to put on it, going to be a busy weekend.

...and a bunch of other little things
Tinted windows, body colored plastics and more coming soon. Stay tuned.
In my 35+ years of lowering vehicles I almost always notice a VERY slight increase in mileage. By very slight, I mean 0.5% to 2.5%, maybe more. Negligible at best, parasitic at worst.I would like to ask you or anyone else that would care to respond ,
just putting those larger tires on effect mileage that you will get for the worse, and lowering it are raising, I wouldn’t think that would affect it you know. Otherwise, please advise.
Yes that’s good ,thanks you, what about larger tire 17 to a 19 likeIn my 35+ years of lowering vehicles I almost always notice a VERY slight increase in mileage. By very slight, I mean 0.5% to 2.5%, maybe more. Negligible at best, parasitic at worst.
My tires are certainly wider than stock, but also lighter, so again negligible.
Lowering for the purposes of gaining MPG probably isn't a good argument. And lifting won't likely adversely affect mileage either, however you'll CERTAINLY lose mileage with a larger circumference, a more aggressive pattern and typically heavier tire. That's truly where the mileage is affected the most. Some will argue that lower is more aerodynamic which I can't argue with, but again negligible in my opinion.
That said, I can absolutely assure you that I've never lifted a truck and gotten BETTER mileage.
I'm certain I could put my stock wheels & tires back on, air them up to 55 PSI (less rolling resistance) and get ridiculous mileage. The act of doing it for arguments sake doesn't entertain me much, though.
Getting 38 MPG on the highway with the cruise set at 85 MPH is perfectly fine with me. I get 43 MPG around town. A few more percentage of MPG doesn't really change my experience, nor would changing my mildly aggressive (not offensive) driving habits.
Does that help answer your question?
It's already low you're going to be dragging on every curbAt the dealership now picking up my '23 XL hybrid. Only option is the 400W inverter.

All terrain tires typically have thicker sidewalls and deeper, blocky-er tread than their street tire counterparts, therefore weigh more and have increased rolling resistance.Yes that’s good ,thanks you, what about larger tire 17 to a 19 like
You did say heavier tire and tread pattern ,,I like lowered look but likely scrape drive way ,
See post above. 7300 miles and I've yet to drag on ANYTHING. But thanks for your concern for my truck, build yours the way you want. It's already low you're going to be dragging on every curb
