@Fast Mavericks ... I know your goal isn't in dyno numbers. BUT, the majority of consumers rely on these. And, I know... they don't tell the whole truth in peak #'s but those of us who look at where power is available, and the people just looking for the peak. I think you would move more products with the requested information
I welcome suggestions and take everything into consideration. This is the exact reason I hosted a dyno day last week. Unfortunately I didn’t finish my truck in time to show the power it makes. You are correct, dyno numbers are not what I’m after, it’s time slips. But i will have it on the rollers soon.

What is the difference between the corsair and ranger housing?
They are the same internally but the Ranger turbos downpipe flange is a little different which is why I sell both version downpipes and install kits. The Ranger turbo is also less expensive.

I find this strange to sell this without a specific map to support the modifications being added. I think people would benefit from something a bit more turnkey. If this is tested, post some dyno numbers or at least draggy and include the necessary reflash service, tuning device, etc.

I guess some folks are ok winging it.
Dude what are you even talking about? On the Facebook page there is a clear map on what to do in what order is recommended. It's been discussed multiple times. He sells the intercooler, downpipe, tunes, intake, hard pipe kit, and several different turbo options. Yes this is a newly released product but it's built by a very respectable company with lots of r&d. These turbos are basically the same as what's being offered for the rangers but specially tailored for our build. If you want a map laid out for you it's pretty simple. Tune, cold air intake, intercooler, downpipe, catback, turbo. Downpipe and turbo could be done at the same time since the downpipe has to come out for the turbo to be replaced.

The bottom line is the owner has hundreds of 12 second draggy runs and is far from winging it. He is still in r&d on some small things and he is working with livernois to have package tunes ready for us when the turbos and intercoolers start shipping. Might want to do your research next time

The owner does not have hundreds of 12 second quarter mile runs. I know because I don't have hundreds of quarter mile runs. Ivan has shown his old truck ran high 12s. This person questioning what these turbos will do is perfectly normal! Show me ONE pass someone has made on this turbo. You can't, becasue it hasn't happened yet. Not everyone lives on the Fast Mavericks facebook page.

When Ivan gets a dyno, and gets some passes down, and gets tuning sorted, then we will know what this setup can do, but do not jump down someones throat because they have questions, that's a dick move.

People are here to learn, and should 100% question EVERYTHING they read.

End of rant/

I was far from jumping down anyone's throat. The post that I was responding to was making accusations and I responded to them. I said in my post that it was a new product and that tunes were still being developed. Maybe I should have been more clear that Ivan has hundreds of "12 second range" draggy runs and no they weren't on this turbo. He's posted screen shots. We will see soon enough what the setup can do but to say someone is winging it implies they don't know what they are doing and haven't put in the time or research. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my previous post

In no way was Colinl making accusations. He stated he found it odd not to have a tune to go along with it. He may not see other platforms that do the same thing. Lot's of platforms offer the tunes with the upgrades as a full solution.

Everyone is excited for these turbo upgrades, but to say they will "give you this" or "give you that", is completely unfounded. Yes Ivan will get it sorted, and this turbo will for sure put down some power.

But, if you are looking at this stuff in the $2700-$5k+ arena, wanting dedicated tuning and asking questions is perfectly fine.

And Azmig88, I assume that was sarcasm, but this is the internet, lol.

"Very respectable company with lots of R&D."

I haven't heard anything negative yet but this sounds like something a person would say about Saleen, Cobb Tuning, etc. An company that's been delivering solid, safe solutions for years.

He's been in business for a few months and as far as I know never been employed by a tuner or done anything like this company does, and has how many full time employees?

The world needs early adopters. Good luck!

If you are 87.26% serious, I would love to see 87.26% of the contributions you have made to the Maverick community!

My standing here is pretty notable, but besides seeing you riding Ivan's junk, I haven't seen what you are bringing to the table! I would love to see your 11-12 second Maverick!

John, I hope you know I have nothing but respect for you but I never said the turbo would give you this or do that. All I said was that this turbo would make enough power to satisfy 99 % of the crowd. Saying that there’s no map could mean 2 things. A road map to mods, which is clearly laid out. If he was referring to a tuning Map, that’s in the works. Again I never claimed any numbers or times but you know very well what this setup is capable of.

I’m not here to make enemies I’m just trying to make parts for the Maverick.

He was referring to Comp Turbo, the company making the turbos.

I have never pretended or claimed to be something I’m not.

Thank you. 🙂
