If I'm wrong please explain it to me . If ford is have a problem with all the Hybrid Maverick's Having a FIRE PROBLEMS 🔥 Yet the problem stops at May 18th have they not built any Hybrid Mavericks since then ⁉⁉. If so they know the problem and the FIX why do we have to wait until the fourth quarter to get the fix and repair 🤔⁉🤔⁉
Or if they have not built any hybrids since May 18th are they going to build anymore ⁉🤔☠⁉
It's one or the other they know the problem and how to fix it or they're not going to build anymore hybrids what the HELL is it. ⁉⁉
Like I said if they're still building hybrid Mavericks they know what the problem is and how to fix it why wait to a minimum of October to fix the problem⁉⁉⁉. Like I said something does not 💩 SMELL RIGHT 💩
I wonder what the National Transportation Safety Board thinks about this second hybrid fire problm. 🔥⁉🔥⁉

Look forward to hearing back from My Maverick Sister's and Brothers Grey Ghost 👻

They don't have a fix.
They may or may not fully understand the problem.
They probably have not built more once identifying the problem but I don't have the tools to confirm.

Personally I think there's a lot of overreacting happening based on very little info. The first recall in July 2022 was based on something like 23 possible reports of engine bay fire out of 100,000 units. I'd speculate that they have to cast a wide net because they don't have a great way to identify specific affected vehicles. It's likely that they are continuing the rest of 23 production unaffected since they just announced scheduling with improved hybrid mix since May 18.

I think everyone will be better off if blood pressures remain low, fewer exclamation emojis are used, and we wait until more information is available.

Edit: for what it's worth, my Feb '23 build is not showing the recall notice (yet?)

My guess is that Ford knows the problem and the fix, they just don’t have the parts on hand (and won’t until the 4th quarter).

The "fix" will likely be just enough to get you out of warranty or the absolute minimum to limit legal liability. I remember KIA going through something like this on our SUV and they wanted to install a software update to detect rod knock to shut the motor down before it caught on fire. I immediately sold the vehicle but they did step up put a lifetime warranty on the motor, I just didnt want to deal with the hassle or safety issue. Some people had 2 or 3 motors installed for free in that debacle.

My EB Escape has a recall fix pending (found a hole in my calendar in mid-June). Ford is fixing it and providing a specific extended warrantee on the replaced parts for free. I would imagine they will do something similar here.

While I know it is frustrating, Ford isn't going to pull the trigger on a recall if they aren't sure there is a safety concern. Recalls cost money and reputation points not to mention the frustration of their customers and dealers. As irritating as it is for you to not be able to take delivery of your truck, the dealer is also annoyed to not get it off their lot.

Mainly because I call them once a week asking where my Explorer is. Customer calls can be annoying when you legitimately don't have an answer.

The Ford Maverick hybrid is the new Ford Pinto 😁 I think they chose the wrong name to bring back lol
All jokes asides. I hope they get everything under control. I’ve been considering the Ecoboost more and more. Peace of mind is worth a lot more these days as a father
