I competed too back then, even got a qualification for the car audio nationals, never went. (yes I'm old too) I ran Orion amps and CV subs. I did have a Zapco EQ for a while, couldn't get the alternator noise out of it very well.I have access to JL stuff, use to be part of Team JL Audio, Zapco and Hybrid Audio Technologies back in the day (competed in SQ competitions for since around 1999 with several different vehicles), yes I am old. I only own one of the vehicles still, I will post some pics some time. I do have a 2002 Honda Civic that always stays about 90% done. Alpine I am just another consumer, if JL had the new C5 3-way to market yet, the Alpine would not be going in. JL does not have a release date for the new C5 yet only that it is being developed.
Hoping the Alpine do everything I want them to do, if they do they will stay, if not when the C5 come to market I will try them.
I have installed a ton of the TW3 subs and in a ported box they shock me every time. They have the ability to not only sound good but some surprising loud output.
Each of my amps have a 50 amp fuse rating. I am running a 100 amp ANL inline fuse. I have had no issues with powering this set-up. I did signal sensing for power turn on but the way the hybrid works it takes way to long for the amps to power down and they randomly will turn back on with how the hybrid works when the truck in just sitting. This is an awesome build! I'm in the planning stage for the most part, but I have ordered the mids and highs. My question is, how many amps do you think your system is pulling, and how is the hybrid dealing with it? Or... what's the combined fuse rating for your amplifiers? I'm really curious about how the hybrid is handing it all. I'm hesitant to stray from my initial plan of using a single 5 channel digital amp(40A), because I'm worried about too much current draw. Any input you can offer on that would be awesome!
I wish I could say I was really smart to wire my Kicker Key 500.1 sub amp for traditional 12v turn on (piggybacked on BCM Fuse 3), but I honestly just chose that because I was familiar with it and was sure it would work.I did signal sensing for power turn on but the way the hybrid works it takes way to long for the amps to power down and they randomly will turn back on with how the hybrid works when the truck in just sitting.
So make sure you use a remote turn on power led and not signal sensing. I will be changing this in my set-up.
Great, thanks for that info! I did plan on running a turn on lead, so I should be good there. Each of my amps have a 50 amp fuse rating. I am running a 100 amp ANL inline fuse. Can I ask how you managed to mount this to the sheet metal? I’m looking to do something similarStart of the amp rack.

Good to see the supervisor on the floor shopToday 99% of equipment arrived and I had already started on the truck so time to post it up.This will be a 3-way front stage, full DSP control and 1 10" subwoofer. Front Stage Alpine, everything else JL Audio. Special thanks to JL Audio for the great equipment. This truck will be tuned 22-23 April in Tulsa using the JL Audio MAX-KIT link to what it is: https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxl51yZFHII
I did a thread about the doors already its at this link: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/how-to-install-new-speaker-wire-in-doors.29724/

It is screwed to the rear bracket. I ran a bolts under the amp then bolted the amp board to the bracket then mounted the amps over it so you cannot see it, nice and clean. Can I ask how you managed to mount this to the sheet metal? I’m looking to do something similar
