I received an email from ford on 10/25/22 stating that my build date was scheduled for the week of 12/19/2022. Since that build date is after the dates you mentioned, I never checked if I had a 2023 change until about 12/26 because I thought it has been built. The dealer never contacted me with a change to a 2023 until I contacted them in the first week of January wondering where my truck was since it was supposed to have been built by then. That's when they said they found out it had been changed to a 2023.... Everyone here says the dealership was probably notified earlier and never told me. That may be true, but they deny it
On the bright side, this may be the only reason you have a Maverick right now. There do not seem to be many available with the Co-Pilot 360 Assist out there. So if your dealer had correctly added it you might still be waiting to get scheduled with the rest of us who did add it.

Adaptive cruise is a nuisance on the road. It causes slugs of traffic with everyone slowing down. Just use your foot to pass and/or brake as needed.
I'm skeptical whether ACC or manual braking makes any difference for this, but I suspect ACC is demanded most by those who want to be on their phones while driving.

Where are you getting this information? There were literally dozens of Lariat Hybrid Lux 360+Assist "order scheduled" letters sent out just last week (4/13). The "Assist" package is not, nor has it ever been, a "constrained item" on the weekly reports from Ford.

And I could just as easily "suspect" that ACC is derided by those who want to be on their phones while driving, since ACC REQUIRES you to keep your hands on the wheel a substantial percentage of the time, or it shuts off.

Both of us would be guilty of stating opinions and claiming them to be "truth" when there is zero data to support either position. (Well, not quite true - it is a fact that ACC requires you to keep your hands on the wheel most of the time...)

I didn't claim my suspicion to be the truth. However, it's not unreasonable to figure ACC would give people on their phone more confidence in taking their eyes off the road. Incidentally, every driver I have observed on their phone still has at least one hand on the wheel.

And guns kill people, and spoons cause diabetes, and....well, I think you know where I'm going.... ;)

Your dealer was not notified about your specific order, but they were notified that *all* orders with a 12/19/22 build week were really being rolled over to 2023. The 12/19 date was just a holding pattern until Ford figured out the process to create the 2023 order. Your dealer knew this and ignored the instructions given by Ford. Find a new dealer for future purchases.

Do remember that the independent Ford dealership is there to sell you a vehicle. Period. They often don’t provide either the compassion or the personnel to follow up on factory updates. Just the way it is.
