RokBlokz mud flaps! Took delivery in late December and wanted good flaps for the winter season. I've been impressed with how these handled all the snow and junk throughout the Maine winter. Better coverage than stock without looking oversized or silly. Highly recommended. Not a big fan of bed liners but did get the Ford bed mat &tailgate protector and like those very much as well.

To the question what are the best accessories you've added; I love my Kagu floor mats. However, the Tuxedo Sentry CT tonneau cover was the best investment.

I initially mounted my DeeZee assist strut with the piston on the bottom. But the tailgate support cable tended to catch between the bed and dampener, which looked like it was not a good thing. Reversing it, so the piston was on top, seemed to prevent that... So I wound up with the piston on top, which was how it showed in the DeeZee instructions.

You might want to check to see if your tailgate cable is doing the same thing. If so, it's simple to reverse the strut.

PS - Love the Cyber Orange with the black tailgate lettering. It really pops! I've got black letters on my Area 51 as well, but it's not quite the same.... If/when I get my Cyber Orange truck, I'm definitely going with the black letters!
Thank you. But I followed the picture in their instructions.

Well I've always thought the large end should always be down so the oil doesn't leak out. Apparently that is incorrect, the oil is supposed to be gravity fed to the ring to keep it sealed and from drying/ cracking.

Who knew. Seen other sources saying the same thing.

What are the best accessories you have added to your Maverick?

I have added hood and tailgate shocks, 1" leveling kit bigger wheels and tires. Nerfbars and Fender Flares Hood and Rear Cab Spoiler, Tonneau cover, Overlanderrack seat covers bug and door deflectors, red L.E.D. inner bed lights. White bed cargo light, tailgate lock tailgate decals and lettered xl side badge. Stubby antenna, tinted windows. Best of luck on your Journey.

The red is a nice contrast and is a better look than the commonplace orange. Well done.

I've done a lot, so tough to pick a favorite. I'm a fan of better lighting, so right up near the top of the list I'd have to say replacing the incandescent bulbs with LEDs and adding LED light strips in the bed. In terms of convenience, I'd say adding a auto-dimming mirror w/garage door linking buttons and a wireless carplay connect. Truth is every time I jump on this site I find something else I like to add on.

It's a Jomise K17. $110 on Amazon right now. I looked at a lot of them. Some (Wolfbox) have a red record light that always flashes even when screen is off and I didn't want that.

I had already wired a hardwire kit from the passenger fuse box for my other 1080p cam I replaced. It was pretty easy, just had to pull the A pillar trim.

I mounted the rear camera inside, it was easy as well. Pulled driver side A pillar back and you can tuck the wire under the other trim to the back seat. One piece of trim under the back seat that pops off and the rear pillar to run behind that. All fairly easy to do.

Edit: Quick video I made of the Dashcam features. It records the full view, but you can adjust your viewing angle on the screen. Although I mostly drive with the screen off and use it as a regular mirror.

Thank you for your post! So now that you've had it installed for a bit, I'm interested in a detailed review of the mirror. What do you like and dislike, etc. I've been looking at them for a while, and have a couple questions, like the size (blocking more of the windshield), and how well does it work at night (on or off), etc. I appreciate your opinion.

Or does it interfere with the sun visors?

I'm not arguing whats right or wrong cause IDK but Deezee's website shows pics the other way around, which contradicts things. Maybe its works both ways like the way you put in the TP roll - over or under.. I prefer over.. lol
