When you place and wait for an order you should be paying MSRP. If you’re paying above MSRP it was on the lot.
I see. Asked because i should be picking up my ordered maverick in couple months and getting ready a dealership battle.lol

I Guess my only remorse would involve waiting until I was able to drive a Maverick before ordering ours on December 3rd 2021. If I had ordered earlier maybe I wouldn’t have had to wait 431 days to get it. Other then that none at all!

Six weeks of ownership, 2500 miles, very happy with the purchase. Came from a 2016 Honda Civic.

The pleasant surprises:
Quieter cabin, much more solid driver assist, identical MPG (compared to my Civic).

The awww bummers:
No walk away auto lock, touch screen could be bigger, higher interest rate car loan. 😅

Hey everyone!

I always see how much people love their mavericks regardless of the long wait time. A common thing said on here is, “it was worth the wait” even with people waiting 500+ days. I haven’t received my maverick yet but I’m beyond excited and I’m sure I will love it.

What are somethings that you wish were different that would make you love the maverick even more? Please don’t say “I wish I didn’t wait X amount of time” or “fords production process”. We all hate it lol
Mine is a 2022 to 2023 rollover, which I just picked up, wish I had been able to add nav and sirius

Shouldn’t be any. You pay MSRP and whatever state fees and taxes and that should be it

I kind of wish there were more options on the poll, like yes and no together.

Was it worth the 9 month wait? I would say so for the most part. If Toyota or Honda made a lower cost hybrid truck, the Maverick wouldn't have been on my radar for more than 10 seconds to be honest. Had never even considered an American vehicle brand before buying the Maverick. Only time will tell if they get another chance after this. ;)

7 1/2 months into ownership of my 22 Hybrid, I haven't had any mechanical failures, so that's good. Do I love it? I'm past the honeymoon phase I think, so I can look at both the pros and cons now. The fuel economy of the hybrid is better than I could have hoped for, and the ride of the truck is good enough. Beyond that it's a vehicle, it does what I need it to do and it hasn't broken down. It's not perfect, there are recalls, and some 12v battery drain issues, but it always works. Is that love? Do I think it's the best vehicle I've ever owned? Way too early to tell one way or the other, ask me in 4 1/2 years from now.

What could have made the Maverick better? The seats could be better for longer drives, both in terms of comfort and adjustment. The infotainment system could be a little snappier, less buggy, and have better speakers. A 5ft bed would have been nice.

I do really like mine so far (3 weeks) and find it surprising that people express concerns about interior quality and road noise. I think it is all about expectations of what you are getting, this is not a luxury car! Of course I went from an '06 Subaru with 184,000 miles on it and a check engine light on for the last year so that may have something to do with it...

The only thing I wish was different is the info screen, as it seems fairly low quality. My wife's 2017 EX Honda Civic has a nicer screen.
Really well put! Lol the infotainment sucks its true. But for the same price as a 22/23 civic… there has to be some corners cut to give you a 2L turbo, towing package, all wheel drive, and a truck bed haha so i’m not too upset

I picked my Maverick up on Monday afternoon. I really like it, however, the only remorse that I have is that I had to write a big check! I am a saver, so anytime I spend money I have some level of remorse. I have not sold my current truck that I bought new 17 years ago. It just sits there and somehow I feel like I have betrayed her. Does this sound weird to any of you? I know once I sell it and I do not have to look at it sitting there all lonely I will be fine. The Maverick is a great vehicle and really zippy. I real fun truck to drive.
Someone who thinks like me.....

No remorse here yet, but rather annoyed at the brake grabs that seem to be temper mental. Sometimes it is smooth and at other times it is jerky and clunky at its worst. Plus the dealership and Ford's inability to address and resolve the issue is frustrating.

Sure is. The Japanese car companies seem to be the biggest adopters. It's a good and bad thing-- and for the same reason. You don't have to think about locking your car. 95% of the time it's a charm, but 5% of the time the car can't auto-lock for some reason. It'll chirp at you to let you know this, but the "working 95% of the time" has trained you to just not pay attention, not hear the chirp, and walk away from your car. So sometimes you come back to an unlocked car.

That failure rate is probably on par with most humans *without* walk away auto-lock... sometimes you just forget. But it's double hard coming from a car that had it, and trained you not to pay attention to locking your car, to a car where you have to remember to lock it all the time. I'm probably forgetting to lock the truck about 20% of the time right now. 😬

Paid MSRP and think it is a great vehicle that meets my needs and I enjoy driving it. It has been frustrating to have to frequently jump start it, but I suppose that's how it will be until I trade it.

Liking mine. Came from a 1996 Buick Roadmaster wagon, 260 hp LT-1 land yacht with 155,000. (still have it)

Now a 3700 lb 250 hp compact truck ECO that I have trouble keeping my foot off the loud pedal at stoplights.

At 70 years old this little truck fits my needs, no complaints. It ROCKS.

Tough to have buyers remorse with this excellent all around truck. Lariat Hybrid.
