So is the Maverick now basically the famed infamous $35,000 Tesla model 3? Like they say that have it, and they will totally for real make you one that exists, you just need to call a special number that is only answered every third Tuesday between the hours of 1:00 and 1:05. Oh and you have to be named Steve in order to qualify.....

However we will totally sell you a 2-3x more expensive Model X F150 or Model S Ranger.

This really feels like a scam at this point, fuck ford.

If you want a hybrid you know you only have a 50-50 chance of getting it going in.

If you want a basic XL ecoboost with just a trailer hitch you will probably get it but you may have to wait because Ford would rather build more expensive trucks first.

Ford is scheduled a couple months out. Makes no sense for them to schedule out further than that now. I'm sure all 79,000 people who ordered would like to have known their build date last September but that is not possible.

Ford has confirmed built 23,000 for this model year to date and scheduled another ~18,000 based on the highest VIN reported. At the current rate, they will build 92,000 for the year, not including the additional shift in July.

Scheduling does not equal production.
Your truck was scheduled back in the past.

:)

I don't understand Ford. No scheduling? Yet my order moved to production last week, and I received an email today that it was built. So they must be doing something, no? 🤨

Well I got some good news this morning in my email. I am not sure how I ever lucked up to get built to begin with, but here we are. I do so hate it for those with roll over orders that are still waiting. It just all seems so unfair to me. Production, Built and Shipped in 3 days. FORD isn't playing around on the ones they do build.

I love the scenario where you tell them to "cancel" the Maverick and then your sleuthing reveals that is not, in fact, cancelled.

I see you returning to the crime scene like this...

Bearsfan: Hey, remember the Maverick that I ordered that I told you I wanted to cancel? Well, I just learned that it is now built and on it's way here!!! GOTCHA!!!!

Dealer: Uh, ok.

Bears fan: I have PROOF!!!

Dealer: And?

Bearsfan: Since you did not cancel the order, I want to buy it now.

Dealer: Dude, you cancelled. We sold it to someone else.

Bearsfan: Yeah, but it's mine!!

Dealer: Get out.

So… if they won’t “cancel” it, I would just buy it? It would not actually be canceled… How hard is that for you to get?

the conversation goes like this “if I cancel this order, will you provide me with the documentation that it was canceled? No? Okay I’ll buy it”. If they say yes, I wait and when they dont provide and ford confirms it’s still live, I show them that and buy it.

Shipped = Moved to the train yard.

Get with your dealer to find out if it is actually on a rail and its expected ETA.

Congrats!! Mine is scheduled in a few weeks. I'm nervously anticipating when it does get built.

And i'm like you, I hate that so many rollover orders are just sitting there still unseduled.
I honestly thought I had a slim chance of mine ever getting built and was pretty surprised when I got the notification is will be built the week of 3/20/23. As of now at least.

Hey man no common sense opining in this thread. LOL

Seriously this allocation BS Ford does is what creates these stupid long wait times. My truck is a Hybrid Lariat with lux, 360 assist and remote start. Why would I get scheduled before someone else with the same or lesser build rolled from 2022. . It’s BS! Now I am not complaining cause I am happy mine just got built, but people are tired of Fords shenanigans.
Right on man, rollover 492 days today, no word no emails, nothing!

This is SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. Happy for you, but how TF are people getting new MY2023 orders before we rollovers? Your build is nearly identical to mine (Maverick Lariat Hybrid/Lux/360/360 assist/remote start), you ordered Sep 2022, I ordered in Nov 2021 with absolutely nothing to show for it.

This makes zero sense. Really wish I knew it would be a year and a half, I'd have bought something in the meantime.

You sir, have a very Zen attitude about this, impressive!

Yeah I am pretty pissed at ford, this is true. I think ford has BADLY handled this entire situation. I think a large part of the idea of the Maverick is to get people into the the "Ford Family" Sure they don't make much on a Mav compared to a king ranch f150 but the idea is that Maverick owners become f150 owners over time.

Now I am starting to think that the ford can't/won't produce the Maverick, and it is as simple as a bait and switch (which is illegal) The Hybrid mavericks really don't exist. Sure you might see one floating around but to the regular person they might as well be a unicorn. An EB Mav is pretty much any other truck IMO. The Hybrid is the "killer app" and what I most want in the truck.

What I am saying is that IF I get this Mav, it will be the only ford that I ever drive. I am saying that the way that they are going about this is dishonest.

So yeah, Ford is a crap company that I have zero interest in doing business with in the future.
