Hey everyone!

I always see how much people love their mavericks regardless of the long wait time. A common thing said on here is, “it was worth the wait” even with people waiting 500+ days. I haven’t received my maverick yet but I’m beyond excited and I’m sure I will love it.

What are somethings that you wish were different that would make you love the maverick even more? Please don’t say “I wish I didn’t wait X amount of time” or “fords production process”. We all hate it lol

I do really like mine so far (3 weeks) and find it surprising that people express concerns about interior quality and road noise. I think it is all about expectations of what you are getting, this is not a luxury car! Of course I went from an '06 Subaru with 184,000 miles on it and a check engine light on for the last year so that may have something to do with it...

The only thing I wish was different is the info screen, as it seems fairly low quality. My wife's 2017 EX Honda Civic has a nicer screen.

that’s a valid point and I completely understand. I’m going from 96 Mazda B3000 so this will be a luxury truck for me hahaha.

Yeah, I've had mine for almost a month now, and I'm loving it.

But I'm going from a 2011 Nissan Versa, and when adjusted for inflation, I paid almost the exact same amount for my XLT as I paid for that hatchback twelve years ago. I expected the same build quality... and got the same build quality. I think the folks who have been unhappy are those who are expecting a higher end vehicle than what they're buying.

I paid $7K over MSRP for my EcoBoost. I wanted it so bad. My old vehicles were in the shop in early 2022 more than they had ever been and I wanted to go on road trips without worry. And I did. I am 69 years old and my waiting time is limited.

My latest perusal of Autotrader indicates that even EcoBoosts are still selling at a $5-$10K premium over a higher MSRP in my area. So no remorse.

The Ecoboost is the best truck I ever owned. As a youth, I always wanted a MiniCooper S. In my aged and somewhat addled mind, the EcoBoost is a more comfortable MiniCooper that can haul 15 bags of horse feed, and it doesn't leak oil or have Lucas Electric gremlins. Perfect!

I am also a Mazda B3000 owner! Bought new in December 1999. Regular Cab, 2wd, no carpet and hand crank windows. She has been rode hard without complaint.

My XLT Maverick is a luxury truck for me too.

Great post and reinforces what I always say. It is YOUR money, so spend it like you wish and can afford. I made 76 Tuesday and have bought two Mavericks. I was a bit more fortunate to get my EB for $3K over and more fortunate to get my wife's Hybrid for $2,500 over, but would do it all over again. My Lariat Hybrid is due at end of month, having already shipped, and I am delivering my 6 month old EB with 4,500 mi on it, this afternoon. I sold it to a dealer for $3,400 over msrp, so dang it, I only made $400. Yes, I actually lost money due to TTL, but would do it all over again.

Continue to enjoy your Maverick. I have owned many trucks over the years, and the Maverick is by far my favorite.

You guys and your modern trucks! I'm still driving my 1987 B2000 long bed. It is a rust bucket now but it still starts every time and I can hauls a ton of stuff. But manual trans and no power steering and no safety features except 3 way seat belts. I'm still not sure I will be able to get rid of it- it might live in the driveway for a while this summer.

I also have an Infiniti so if I want a nicer interior I can drive it. But it does not have a backup camera or Android Auto or any of the newest safety features.

I too am 69 years old. My wife just bought a 2023 Honda CRV Ex L. Damn that thing is nice! I like her car…..but I love my Ecoboost XL. Of course it doesn’t have the luxury feel that the Honda has, but it is half the price. No remorse here!

That’s awesome! I bought mine from a buddy of mine for $600 about 3 years ago. It needed a good amount of work, as it continues to need. But I put about 400-500 miles a week and she keeps going!

We've had 2 Mavericks. I think they are amazing.

I also scratch my head when people start whining about "quality".
It's fine for the price we paid!
And our previous 2 new cars were a Porsche and Alfa Romeo... and BMWs for that.

I currently drive a Mini Cooper S and am somewhat patiently awaiting an XLT Hybrid

I didn't pay as much as you, but just under $3500 and I am in a truck I absolutely love. I totally understand. I am 63 and last year lost so many friends and family, it taught me I have to start living! I have had nothing but company cars all my life doing Field Service work and I did not need my own car. After my Company invited me to retire it was time to sell that hard earned stock I had to order a new Maverick. I was currently on the apology email tour from Ford and got sick of waiting!

Got my XLT on Aug. 2nd, 2022.
I thought with CP360 it would have the adaptive cruise control. I doesn't. That's a deal breaker, and why the truck has only 1000 miles on it. I'll gladly sell it for $36000.00...Alto Blue, sibl, sun roof, ppf, soft tonneau, 4k tow package, rear slider window. I had the windows tinted.
